The Ministry of Defence of Republika Srpska was the ministry in the government of Republika Srpska in charge of formulating, developing and implementing defence system of Republika Srpska. [1] The ministry existed between 1992 and 2005.

The Republika Srpska air force was the air force of Republika Srpska and was used primarily during the Bosnian war. In 2005, it was integrated into the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina. SFOR still plays a large role in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which consists of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska. Under the leadership of one president, the ministry of defense of both entities merged into one single ministry of defense with one chief of joint staff commanding both Air Forces. In 2004 there was again a restructuring of the armed forces, bringing the number of Air Force personnel down to 4,000. Next to the command, the 1st Regiment V i PVO consists out of a platoon, a radar battalion, artillery rocket ADF battalion, AF logistics battalion and aviation assets, a Fighter Bomber Squadron and Mixed Helicopter Squadron. In 2006 the Air Force of Republika Srpska was disbanded.

It is one of the executive authorities, along with the Government of Republika Srpska. The president of Republika Srpska is directly elected for a term of four years, along with two vice presidents from different constituent nations. None of them can be from a same constituent nation at the same time. The president's residence is in Banja Luka.

The Prime Minister is head of the Government, while the Government is composed of his deputies and ministers. The powers of the Government are determined by the Constitution of Republika Srpska. The Government is appointed by the National Assembly for a four-year term.

Order of the Republika Srpska is the highest decoration of Republika Srpska. It was established on April 25, 1993 by the decision of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska. The medal may be awarded on a necklace or strips with the order star worn on the breast. Like every order in Republika Srpska, the Order of Republika Srpska also has a statute defining terms about the order.

Milorad Mirčić is a Serbian politician. He is a prominent figure in the far-right Serbian Radical Party and has served several terms as an elected official at the local, provincial, and republic levels. Mirčić was the mayor of Novi Sad from 1993 to 1994 and was minister of the Serb diaspora in the Serbian government from 1998 to 2000. He is now a member of the Novi Sad city assembly.

He was a prominent member of Belgrade's city government from 1997 to 2000, a member of the National Assembly of Serbia from 1997 to 2001, and briefly Serbia's transport minister in 2000–01 after the fall of Slobodan Milošević's administration. Milutinović was a member of the Serbian Renewal Movement.

Siniša Stamenković is a lawyer, painter and politician in Serbia. He served in the National Assembly of Serbia from 1993 to 1997 and was the mayor of Gadžin Han for several years, serving as a member of the Socialist Party of Serbia.
