The Ministry of Finance (Catalan : Ministeri de Finances d'Andorra) is the Andorran government ministry in charge of public finances of Andorra. The ministry is located in Prat de la Creu, 62-64, Andorra la Vella.
Andorra, officially the Principality of Andorra, is a sovereign landlocked country on the Iberian Peninsula, in the eastern Pyrenees in Western Europe, bordered by France to the north and Spain to the south. Believed to have been created by Charlemagne, Andorra was ruled by the count of Urgell until 988, when it was transferred to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Urgell. The present principality was formed by a charter in 1278. It is currently headed by two co-princes: the bishop of Urgell in Catalonia, Spain and the president of France. Its capital and largest city is Andorra la Vella.
Catalan, known in the Valencian Community and Carche as Valencian, is a Western Romance language. It is the official language of Andorra, and an official language of three autonomous communities in eastern Spain: Catalonia, the Balearic Islands and the Valencian Community, where it is called Valencian. It has semi-official status in the Italian comune of Alghero, and it is spoken in the Pyrénées-Orientales department of France and in two further areas in eastern Spain: the eastern strip of Aragon and the Carche area in the Region of Murcia. The Catalan-speaking territories are often called the Països Catalans or "Catalan Countries".
Since the establishment of sovereignty with the ratification of the constitution in 1993, Andorra has moved to become an active member of the international community. In July 1993, Andorra established its first diplomatic mission in the world to the United Nations.
Joan-Enric Vives i Sicília is a Spanish cleric who has served as Bishop of Urgell and ex officio Co-Prince of Andorra since 2003. This makes him a joint head of state and one of the two Catholic religious figures in the world who also leads a country, the other such prelate being the pope himself.
Jaume Bartumeu Cassany, GCIH is an Andorran lawyer and politician, who served as the prime minister of Andorra from 2009 to 2011. He was a founding member of the Social Democratic Party (PS) in June 2000, in which he held the position of first secretary between 2000 and 2004. He was the leader of the opposition at the General Council between 2005 and 2009.
Ràdio i Televisió d'Andorra, S.A., shortened to RTVA, is the public television and radio broadcaster in the Principality of Andorra. It operates a television channel, ATV, and two radio stations, RNA and AM, all of which broadcast in Catalan.
Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) rights in Andorra have advanced significantly in the 21st century, and are now considered generally progressive. Civil unions, which grant all the benefits of marriage, have been recognized since 2014, and discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is constitutionally banned. The General Council passed a bill on 21 July 2022 that would legalize same-sex marriage in 2023, and convert all civil unions into civil marriage. In September 2023, Xavier Espot Zamora, the Prime Minister of Andorra, officially came out as homosexual.
Futbol Club Andorra is a professional football club based in Andorra la Vella, Andorra, that currently competes in Primera Federación – Group 1, in the Spanish league system. The club was founded in 1942 and currently plays its home fixtures at Estadi Nacional. In spite of being based in the microstate of Andorra, the club, voluntarily affiliated to the Catalan Football Federation, has been allowed to compete in Spanish leagues since 1948.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the Andorran government ministry which oversees the foreign relations of Andorra.
Bàsquet Club Andorra SAOE, also known as MoraBanc Andorra for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball team that is based in Andorra la Vella, Andorra. Though based in Andorra, the club plays in the Spanish basketball league system. The team plays in the Liga ACB and the Champions League with home games played at the Poliesportiu d'Andorra.
Same-sex marriage has been legal in Andorra since 17 February 2023. Andorra first established stable unions on 23 March 2005, providing same-sex couples with some of the rights and benefits of marriage, and later enacted civil unions on 25 December 2014, offering a greater set of rights. On 21 July 2022, the General Council voted to open civil marriage to same-sex couples. The law was promulgated by Co-Prince Emmanuel Macron on 17 August 2022, and came into effect six months later.
Antoni Martí Petit was an Andorran architect and politician who served as the prime minister of Andorra between 2011 and 2019, when he was elected on the ticket of the Democrats for Andorra.
The Official Bulletin of the Principality of Andorra is an official publication that by law must include all official documents issued by the government agencies of Andorra. Typical documents include laws, regulations, administrative acts, and any other document that has a legal requirement to be published. The act of being published in the Official Bulletin validates and invests the documents with legal force. It was created on January 30, 1989, and is governed by four articles.
The Ministry of Social Affairs, Justice and Interior of Andorra is responsible for social care and protection, employment and work. The ministry aims to guarantee the internal security of citizens and their assets, civil status, the regulation of migration and integration policy to guarantee social cohesion, the fight against crime, international collaboration in matters judicial and police, and protecting the population from any natural risk or catastrophe.

The COVID-19 pandemic in Andorra was a part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. The virus was confirmed to have reached Andorra on 2 March 2020, when a 20-year-old man returned to the country from Milan, Italy. With a total population of 77,543, on 7 December 2020, the infection rate was 1 case per 11 inhabitants, and the death rate was 1 case per 994 inhabitants.
Èric Jover Comas is an Andorran politician and member of the Democrats for Andorra (DA) political party. Jover served as the Minister of Finance of Andorra from 22 May 2019 until his resignation in January 2023. He previously served as Minister of Education.
The Committed Citizens is a social liberal Andorran political party founded in 2011 for the municipal elections in La Massana.
In the parliamentary elections in Andorra on 2 April 2023, the incumbent liberal-conservative coalition between Democrats for Andorra (DA) and Committed Citizens (CC) won an absolute majority led by Prime Minister Xavier Espot. This is the fourth legislature in a row in which DA governs the country. A new party, Concord, emerged in second place, taking the opposition leadership held by the Social Democratic Party since 2019, which fell to third place by losing four seats.
