Ministry of Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Poland was created on August 23, 2005 by decision of the Council of Ministers under then-Prime Minister Marek Belka.

Contents

It was renamed on July 23, 2007 when tourism was placed under ministry authority. [1]

Ministry goals:

State-controlled Polska Konfederacja Sportu (Polish Sport Union) became integral part of the ministry.

Expressway S3 or express road S3 is a Polish highway, which is planned to run from Świnoujście on the Baltic Sea through Szczecin, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Zielona Góra and Legnica, to the border with the Czech Republic, where it will connect to the planned D11 motorway. The total intended length is 470.6 km (292.4 mi), of which 436.0 km (270.9 mi) is open to traffic and 33.0 km (20.5 mi) is under construction as of August 2024.

The Ministry of Regional Development was a ministerial department within the government of Poland. The ministry was created under the premiership of Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz on 31 October 2005, having its functions devolved from the previous Ministry of Economy and Labour. The department was merged with the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Marine Economy in November 2013 under Prime Minister Donald Tusk, creating the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">National road 1 (Poland)</span> Trunk highway in Poland

National road 1 is a route in the Polish national road network, connecting northern and southern regions of Poland. It runs from Gdańsk on the Baltic Sea coast, through the center of the country, at its southern end at the Upper Silesian Industrial Area forking into two branches to the border with the Czech Republic at Gorzyczki and with Slovakia at Zwardoń. The route traverses the Pomeranian, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Łódź and Silesian voivodeships. Most of the national road 1 is a part of the European route E75.

Poland has been a member state of the European Union since 1 May 2004, with the Treaty of Accession 2003 signed on 16 April 2003 in Athens as the legal basis for Poland's accession to the EU. The actual process of integrating Poland into the EU began with Poland's application for membership in Athens on 8 April 1994, and then the confirmation of the application by all member states in Essen from 9–10 December 1994. Poland's integration into the European Union is a dynamic and continuously ongoing process.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Ministry of Digital Affairs</span> Ministry of the Polish government

The Ministry of Digital Affairs is a ministry of the Polish government founded in December 2015, dissolved in October 2020 and founded again in May 2023. Split from the Ministry of Administration and Digitization, the Ministry is responsible for matters regarding development in the cyber sphere for Poland. The first Minister of Digital Affairs was Anna Streżyńska. After she was recalled on 9 January 2018, the Ministry was under personal supervision of the Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki until 17 April 2018 when Marek Zagórski was appointed the Minister of Digital Affairs. The ministry was made defunct in 2020 following a Council of Ministers decree. The Ministry is functioning again since 1 May 2023 following a Council of Ministers decree.

Ministry of Economic Development was the office of government in Poland responsible for economy and regional development. Mateusz Morawiecki was the last Minister of Development. It was created in late 2015 from the split of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development and dissolved in 2018, after creation of Ministry of Investment and Economic Development.

Ministry of Infrastructure and Construction was the office of government in Poland responsible for construction and infrastructure. Andrzej Adamczyk was the only Minister of Infrastructure and Construction. It was created in late 2015 from the split of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development, in 2018 became Ministry of Infrastructure.

The Ministry of Investment and Economic Development was an agency of the government of Poland. The ministry was headquartered in Warsaw and was formed from the Ministry of Development in 2018. Jerzy Kwieciński was the first and only Minister of Investment and Economic Development, serving from 9 January 2018 to 15 November 2019. It was succeeded by the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy.

Ministry of Economy and Labour is a Polish abolished government administration office in charge of economy, labor, regional development, tourism.

Polish law allows modern firearms ownership on a general shall-issue basis under police-issued permit for people who provide an important reason. Hunting, sport shooting, training and collecting are the most popular reasons and require membership in suitable organizations. Self-defense permits for civilians are chief exceptions to the rule, where a may-issue based permit is required. Antique black powder firearms or their replicas and most air guns are available without a permit. Firearm owners are subject to mental health and domestic violence confiscation laws resembling U.S red flag laws.

The COVID-19 pandemic in Poland was a part of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 strain of coronavirus. As of 21 August 2024, Poland had 6,680,897 confirmed cases, and 120,636 deaths due to COVID-19.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">National road 68 (Poland)</span> National road in Poland

National road 68 is a main road of accelerated traffic belonging to the Polish national road network. The length of the route is 11.4 kilometres (7.1 mi), of which 5.197 kilometres (3.229 mi) is maintained by General Directorate for National Roads and Highways. The highway connects the Kukuryki border crossing on Belarus–Poland border with national road 2 in Wólka Dobryńska. It runs entirely in Lublin Voivodeship, in Biała County. According to signage, national road 68 is a component of European highway E30.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Ministry of Industry (Poland)</span> Polish government administration body

The Ministry of Industry is a Polish government administration body established in 2024, responsible for overseeing the minister in charge of the government administration sector related to the management of mineral deposits. The ministry under this name also existed from 1987 to 1991 as the Ministry of Industry (1987–1991).
