Chakar Khan Rind (1468–1565) was a Baloch chieftain who founded the Second Baloch Confederacy (1487–1512). He also aided Mughal Emperor Humayun in his reconquest of the Subcontinent. He is considered a folk hero of the Baloch people and an important figure in the Baloch epic Hani and Sheh Mureed.

Hani and Sheh Mureed or Murid is an epic ballad of Balochi folklore. The story depicts the lives of Baloch heroes and their emotions, Culture, exploring philosophical ideas such as God, evil, predestination. The protagonist of the story, Sheh Mureed, and the heroine, Hani, are symbols of pure and tragic love. The story dates back to the 15th century, considered to be the heroic age of Balochistan and the classical period of Balochi literature.

Sokar is a town and union council of Dera Ghazi Khan District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. The town is part of Taunsa Tehsil. It is located at 30°38'60N 70°35'60E and has an altitude of 176 metres. The town was established by Mir Chakar Khan Rind after he captured Sanghar pass. The town was named after one of warriors of Mir Chakar Khan Rind named Malagh Khan Rind whose sword weighed 75 kg and nobody except Malagh Khan Rind was able to fight with that sword. Malgahni Baloch tribe is actually generation of Malagh Khan Rind.

Rind-Lashari War was a 30-years long war between the Baloch tribes of Rind and Lashari from 1582 to 1612.

The Balochs of Punjab are a community of Saraiki and Punjabi-speaking tribes of either full or partial Baloch descent settled in the Punjab province of Pakistan. The majority of which live in southern Punjab, including Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur, which adjoin the province of Balochistan. Numerous of which no longer speak Balochi and instead speak Punjabi, Saraiki and Sindhi.

Dodai is Baloch tribe. In Balochistan, Dodais are also included in Brahuis. Tribesmen of Dodai went on to found the towns of Dera Ismail Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan and Dera Fateh Khan. The Dodai rule lasted till the middle of the 18th century.

Mir Gwahram Khan Lashari, Mir Govahram Khan Lashari, or Mir Gohram Khan Lashari, was a Baloch chieftain in the 15th century. He was considered a hero of the Lashari Baloch's, and Mir Aslam lashari also played a prominent part in Baloch history.

Domki is a Baloch tribe in Balochistan.

Jalal Khan is a legendary figure in the history of the Baloch people who led 44 Baloch tribes from Persia to Makran, founding the first Baloch confederacy in the 12th century. He died in Kech, Makran, leaving behind four sons: Rind Khan, Hoth Khan, Lashar Khan, Korai Khan; and a daughter, Bibi Jato, who was married to his nephew Murad. The Baloch tribes of Rind, Lashari, Hoth, Korai and Jatoi descend from them. After his death, Mir Rind became chief of the Baloch people.

Sardar Mir Sarfraz Chakar Khan Domki was eldest son of Sardar Chakar Khan Domki, Tumandar of Tribe and Pakistani politician and chief of the Domki tribe who was the Provincial Minister of Balochistan for Services and General Administration, in office from September 2018 to August 2023. He had been a member of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan from August 2018 to August 2023 and from February 2024 till his death. Previously, he served as Provincial Minister of Balochistan for Culture, Archives and Tourism, from 30 August 2018 to 8 September 2018.
