Mir Ghulam Ali Talpur (senior) was a Pakistani politician. He was born 19 September 1909. He belonged to the Shahwani branch of the Talpur tribe. [1] He was interior minister of Pakistan from 12 September 1956 to 18 March 1958.
He got his school education from his native town,Tando Muhammad Khan. After school education he studied in Karachi for further education. He also studied in Aligarh. He completed his graduation from Bombay University.
Mir Ghulam Ali Talpur Sr. started his political career in 1936,when he contested in election from Badin –Tando Bago constituency. He won this election and became a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). He was elected President of the Local Board,Hyderabad twice. He became minister in Sir Ghulam Hussain Hidayat Ullah Sindh's cabinet from 28 April 1937 to 23 March 1938. He was federal minister for interior from 12 September 1956 to 18 March 1958. [2] He was speaker of the Sindh Assembly from 14 September 1953 to 21 March 1955. [3] He was also abducted because he opposed One Unit Bill as speaker of assembly. [4] [5] [6] He was sent to desert on camel after abduction.[ citation needed ]

The Talpur dynasty were rulers based in Sindh. Four branches of the dynasty were established following the defeat of the Kalhora dynasty at the Battle of Halani in 1783:one ruled lower Sindh from the city of Hyderabad,another ruled over upper Sindh from the city of Khairpur,a third ruled around the eastern city of Mirpur Khas,and a fourth was based in Tando Muhammad Khan. The Talpurs were ethnically Baloch. For most of their rule,they were subordinate to the Durrani Empire and were forced to pay tribute to them.

Ghulamullah sanjrani,Noorullah sanjrani,and Nasrullah sanjrani are their names.

Tando Qaiser is a town in Hyderabad District,Pakistan. It is named after the 18th-century leader of the Nizamani tribe in Sindh,Qaiser Khan Nizamani,who founded the village after his son Gulham Ali Nizamani died there whilst Qaiser,his younger brother,Aloda and their forces were moving north to their original home of Dera Ghazi Khan in Southern Punjab. Tando means 'fortified settlement' and indicates the original settlement founded by Qaiser was a militarily fortified settlement.

Syed Miran Mohammad Shah [(Sindhi:سيدميرانمحمدشاھ),19 March 1898 - 16 November 1963] was the second speaker of the Sindh Assembly before and after the independence of Pakistan. He was a Sindh member in the Bombay Legislative Assembly before Sindh became a province in 1936. After the accession of Sindh to Pakistan in 1947,he became the first speaker of the Sindh Assembly. He joined Baloch Movement in 1973 and then Awami Tahreek of Rasool Bux Palijo. He supported Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah against Field Marshal Muhammad Ayoob Khan,the Milirary dictator of Pakistan. He also opposed General Zia's Marshal Law. Despite owning thousands of acres of agricultural land,he spent his life trying to provide solace to the dirt-poor masses of Sindh.
