Mireille "Ballen" Ballestrazzi (born 1954 in Orange,France) is a French law enforcement officer and the former President of the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL).
Ballestrazzi earned a Bachelors of Art degree in Classics and a master's degree in Greek and Latin. [1] Ballestrazzi graduated from French National Higher Police Academy. Ballestrazzi was a recipient of the Legion d'honneur. [1]
In 2010,Ballestrazzi was the Vice-President for Europe at the INTERPOL Executive Committee,and Deputy Central Director of the Judicial Police in Paris. In November 2012,Ballestrazzi became the President of International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL). [1] [2] Ballestrazzi is the first female President of INTERPOL. [3] [4]
In 2014,in addition to her INTERPOL leadership,Ballestrazzi became the Central Director of the French Judicial Police. [1] [3]

Meng Hongwei is a former Chinese politician and police officer who was the president of Interpol from 2016 to 2018. He also served as vice-minister of Public Security in China from 2004 to 2018. Meng purportedly resigned in absentia in October 2018 via Chinese officials after he was secretly detained and accused of taking bribes by Chinese anti-corruption authorities. On 21 January 2020,Meng had been sentenced to 13 and a half years in jail by a Chinese court for bribery during his time at the Chinese coast guard and Ministry of Public Security.
