Mirela "Mimi" Rahneva (born July 26, 1988) is a Canadian skeleton racer. Her family immigrated to Canada in 1997; her father, Stoyan, was a competitive gymnast, and her mother was an elite sprinter. After playing rugby in high school and at the University of Guelph, she began competing in skeleton in 2012 and was selected to the Canadian national team in 2016. [1] She is coached by Quin Sekulich and rides a Bromley sled. [2] She was named one of the three women to represent Canada in skeleton at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang [3] after earning eighth on the World Cup season standings for 2017–18. [4]
In January 2022, Rahneva was named to Canada's 2022 Olympic team. [5] [6] [7]
Rahneva's best finish on the World Cup circuit was at St. Moritz in January 2017, her first season on the World Cup, which she won by a remarkable 1.83 seconds. [8] Prior to entering top-level competition, she won the overall North American Cup for 2015. She finished in eighth place at the IBSF World Championships 2017 in Königssee, and was part of a team that finished ninth at the combined bobsleigh-skeleton team competition at the same championships.
Christopher Spring is an Australian-Canadian 4 x Olympic bobsledder who has competed since 2008. At the 2010 Winter Olympics, he competed for Australia in the two-man event. He switched allegiance to Canada later in 2010 and has since competed in the 2014 Winter Olympics, 2018 Winter Olympics and the 2022 Winter Olympics for Canada.

Elisabeth Maier is a retired Canadian skeleton racer. In 2008, she was encouraged to try sliding sports by her father, who had shared an airplane trip with members of the Canadian luge team, but as a 14-year-old, she was too young to train bobsleigh, so she tried out for skeleton instead. She used a Bromley sled. Vathje was named one of the three women to represent Canada in skeleton at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang after finishing third in the World Cup season standings for 2017–18. She is married to Austrian bobsleigh driver Benjamin Maier. She retired in 2022 after being left off the Canadian team for the 2021–22 season.
Jane Channell is a Canadian skeleton racer who has competed since 2011 and was selected to the national team in 2013, joining the Skeleton World Cup squad in 2015. Channell was inspired to try skeleton by Jon Montgomery's gold medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Before skeleton, Channell played softball and competed in track and field, winning the Great Northwest Athletic Conference indoor track titles in 60 metres and 200 metres. Channell was named one of the three women to represent Canada in skeleton at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang after finishing fifth in both the overall and World Cup standings for the 2017–18 season.

Canada competed at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, from February 9 to 25, 2018. It was the nation's 23rd appearance at the Winter Olympics, having competed at every Games since their inception in 1924. Canada competed in all sports disciplines, except Nordic combined. The chef de mission was Isabelle Charest, who was appointed in February 2017.
Kim Meylemans is a German-born Belgian skeleton racer who competes on the Skeleton World Cup. After starting out in football, she began competing in skeleton in 2009 and was selected to the German national team in 2013. In the 2014–15 season, she moved to the Belgium national team. Kimberley Bos is a Dutch skeleton racer who competes on the Skeleton World Cup circuit. She started competing internationally in 2009, originally in bobsleigh, and was selected to the Dutch national team in 2010; she switched to skeleton for the 2013–14 European Cup season. Her personal coach is Urta Rozenstruik, and she rides a Bromley sled. Away from the track, Bos is a physiotherapy student, occasionally serving as "unofficial physio" to the other athletes. Bos was the only woman named to represent the Netherlands in skeleton at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, where she finished eighth. Bos returned for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, where she won the bronze medal and became the first Dutch skeleton athlete to win a medal.
Christine de Bruin is a Canadian bobsledder. She competed in the two-woman event at the 2018 Winter Olympics with Melissa Lotholz. She won bronze in the women's event and a silver medal in the team relay at the 2019 Bobsled World Championships in Whistler, British Columbia.

Dawn Richardson Wilson is a Canadian bobsledder. Richardson Wilson was born in Accra, Ghana; she currently resides in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. As a bobsledder, Richardson Wilson has been in both the pilot and brakewoman positions. She has been involved in a variety of sports, such as rugby, track and field, and ultimate frisbee, but has gained a recent interest in bobsledding. She made her international debut in 2018, with team member Kori Hol as the pilot, on the North American Cup circuit. A year later, in December 2019, Richardson Wilson got into her first World Cup race, finishing fifth place with Christine de Bruin. She became a fulltime World Cup brakewoman in 2020-21, despite the Canadian team only being able to compete in the second half of the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
