Mirko Kolnik (born 9 July 1936) is a Slovenian athlete. He competed in the men's decathlon at the 1960 Summer Olympics, representing Yugoslavia. [1]

Yugoslavia competed at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, United States which took place from 29 July to 12 August 1984. Yugoslav athletes had competed in every Summer Olympic Games since their official debut in 1920. The Yugoslav Olympic Committee (JOK) sent a delegation of 139 athletes, 105 men and 34 women, competing in 16 sports, down from 164 competitors in 1980. Due to the Soviet-led boycott, Yugoslavia was one of only three Communist countries to take part at the Games, along with China and Romania.

Mirko Sandić was a Serbian water polo player who led Yugoslav teams to a gold medal at the 1968 Summer Olympics and a silver medal at the 1964 Summer Olympics. He also competed in the 1960 and 1972 Olympics where his teams placed fourth and fifth, respectively. He was given the honour to carry the national flag of Yugoslavia at the opening ceremony of the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, becoming the twelfth water polo player to be a flag bearer at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympics. Between 1958 and 1974 Sandić played more than 235 matches for the Yugoslav national team contributing 250 goals.

Peggy Schwarz is a German retired pair skater. She first gained prominence skating with Alexander König. The duo captured a bronze medal at the 1988 European Figure Skating Championships and then won gold at the German Figure Skating Championships in 1992. Miroslavo ("Mirko") Vindiš is a retired long-distance runner from Slovenia, who won the 1988 edition of the Vienna Marathon. He represented Yugoslavia (1988) and Slovenia (1992) in the men's marathon at the Summer Olympics. Vindiš set his personal best of 2:13:39 on 1 November 1987 at the New York Marathon. He also represented Yugoslavia and Slovenia in the marathon at the World Championships in Athletics.
Mirko Englich is a German Greco-Roman wrestler. He won two silver medals at the European Wrestling Championships in 2003 and 2008. Englich won a silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. He defeated U.S.A's Adam Wheeler in the semi-finals to face Russia's Aslanbek Khushtov.
