Mis Planes Son Amarte (English: My Plans Are to Love You) is the seventh studio album by Colombian recording artist Juanes.

Contents

The album won Latin Grammy Award for Best Pop/Rock Album at the 18th Annual Latin Grammy Awards. [3] It was released as a visual album, with an accompanying film released as a music video for every track on YouTube. [4] The album tells the story of "a Colombian astronaut who time travels to find true and eternal love." [5] It also features Juanes's first song in English, "Goodbye for Now". [6]

Reception

In a 5-star review, AllMusic praised the album and wrote that it "not only breaks ground on every aesthetic frontier, but results in the finest outing in Juanes' career to date." RollingStone gave the album 4 stars, writing "Juanes shows how it's possible to touch the stars with your feet planted firmly on the earth."

Mis Romances is the fourteenth studio album of Mexican singer Luis Miguel, released on 20 November 2001 by Warner Music Latina. It is the fourth album in the Romance series wherein Luis Miguel covers bolero standards from Latin America and includes two original compositions. Produced by Luis Miguel, the album was recorded at the Record Plant in Los Angeles, California with the participation of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Abbey Road Studios in London, England. The recording was promoted by three singles: "Amor, Amor, Amor", "Cómo Duele", and "Al Que Me Siga". It was further promoted by a tour in 2002 that had Luis Miguel performing in the United States, Latin America, and Spain. It was the highest-grossing tour of the year by a Latin artist in the U.S.

The album was produced by Miguel and recorded in Hollywood, California. 33 was promoted by two singles: "Te Necesito" and "Un Te Amo". It was also promoted by a tour which lasted from 2003 to 2004. Juanes: MTV Unplugged is the second live album of Colombian singer Juanes. It was recorded before a live audience at the New World Symphony Center in Miami Beach, Florida, on February 1, 2012, and was released by Universal Music Latino on May 29, 2012. The album includes featured performances by the Spanish composer Joaquín Sabina and the Brazilian singer Paula Fernandes. The album features rearranged takes on Juanes' hit songs like "Me Enamora", "La Camisa Negra" and "A Dios le Pido". The first single of the live album was released on March 5, 2012, called La Señal, which became a hit in Latin America. The second single was "Me Enamora", with new instrumental arrangements, and was released two days after of the album's release. The album featured three new songs, one of which was a collaboration with Joaquín Sabina. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard Top Latin Albums Chart and won the 2012 Latin Grammy for Album of the Year. This was the third time he won Album of the Year at the Latin Grammys.

The 18th Annual Latin Grammy Awards was held on November 16, 2017, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It was broadcast on Univision at 8PM ET\PT. This marked the tenth year Las Vegas hosts the Latin Grammy Awards and also marked the telecasts return to the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Kacho López Mari is a Puerto Rican filmmaker and co-founder of production company Filmes Zapatero. He is a 7-time nominee and two time Latin Grammy Award winner for his music videos “Ojos Color Sol” and “Loco de Amor” (Juanes). His second collaboration with Juanes titled Mis Planes son Amarte, got López Mari his 6th Latin Grammy nomination and his 4th for Best Music Video, Long Form. His music video/documentary "El Apagón - Aquí vive gente" for Bad Bunny was nominated at The Shots Awards of the Americas 2023 in the video of the year category and was shortlisted at Cannes Lions 70 in Cannes, France in 2023. The video was also nominated at the VMAs 2023 in the Video for good category. In August 2023 Premios Rolling Stone en Español nominated "Canción Desaparecida" by Juanes, music video López Mari directed, in the Videoclip del Año category.
