Miss Alsace is a French beauty pageant which selects a representative for the Miss France national competition from the region of Alsace. The first Miss Alsace was crowned in 1939, although the competition was not organized regularly until 1984.

This was the third back-to-back in Miss France history after 1948-1950 and 1989-1990. Mittenaere represented France at Miss Universe 2016, where she was crowned the winner.

It was the first time that the pageant took place in Orléans and the third time in the Centre-Val de Loire region.
