Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2012 was the 57th Miss Universe Puerto Rico pageant, held at the Centro de Bellas Artes de Santurce in San Juan, Puerto Rico on November 7, 2011. [1]
Viviana Ortiz of Corozal crowned Bodine Koehler of Río Grande at the end of the event. Koehler represented Puerto Rico at Miss Universe 2012 on December 19, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
Also, Stephanie Román, Chanty Vargas, and Valery Velez, who were chosen to represent Puerto Rico at Miss Continente Americano, Miss Intercontinental, and Miss Supranational, also crowned their successors to represent Puerto Rico at Miss Continente Americano 2012, Miss Intercontinental 2012 and Miss Supranational 2012.
In addition to that, Top Model of the World Puerto Rico 2012 was also crowned. On March 15, 2012, when Vanessa De Roide was crowned Nuestra Belleza Latina 2012 and was forced to give up the title of Miss Intercontinental Puerto Rico, Desiree Lowry, the director of the franchise Miss Universe Puerto Rico, said they were thinking of choosing a candidate detail to represent Puerto Rico at Miss Intercontinental in October in Germany.
Casting calls were held throughout Puerto Rico during the summer of 2011. Only 39 became the official contestants in an event on July 10, 2011 in Teatro Ambassador in San Juan. The judges of the final choice were trainer, Jackie Rodriguez, stylist, Junior Melendez, ex-Miss Puerto Rico contestant, Mari Tere Benes, choreographer, Estela Velez, designers, Richard Cotto and Rebecca Tiago and beauty queens expert Edgardo Virella.

Miss Puerto Rico is a national title bestowed on the women representing Puerto Rico in international beauty pageants.
Miss World Canada is a national Beauty pageant in Canada held annually in different incarnations since 1957 to select representative to the Miss World contest. In 2017 MTC-W Inc. obtained the exclusive rights to send the Canadian representative to Miss World, chaired since 2016 by former Miss World Canada 1996 Michelle Weswaldi. The annual pageant is held each summer in Toronto, Ontario, but in 2020 the national competition was held on November 7.
Wilmadilis Blasini Pérez best known as Uma Blasini is a Puerto Rican beauty pageant titleholder who represented Puerto Rico at the Miss Universe 2007 beauty pageant.
Ada Cecille Perkins Flores was a Puerto Rican model and beauty pageant titleholder who represented Puerto Rico at the Miss Universe 1978 pageant.

Nuestra Belleza México 2007, the 14th Nuestra Belleza México beauty pageant, was held at the Auditorio "Profr. Manuel Bonilla Valle" of Manzanillo, Colima, Mexico on October 6, 2007. Thirty-three contestants from the Mexican Republic competed for the national title, which was won by Elisa Nájera from Guanajuato, who later competed in Miss Universe 2008 in Vietnam where she was the 4th Runner-up. Nájera was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Rosa María Ojeda. She is the first and only Guanajuatense to win this title.
Nuestra Belleza México 2006, the 13th Nuestra Belleza México beauty pageant, was held at the Espacio Cultural Metropolitano of Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico on September 2, 2006. Thirty contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title, which was won by Rosa Maria Ojeda from Sinaloa, who later competed in Miss Universe 2007 in Mexico where she was a Semifinalist in the Top 10. Ojeda was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Priscila Perales. She was the second Sinaloan to win this title.
Realmente Bella Señorita Panamá 2009 is the second edition of the beauty contest format that was created when the Señorita Panamá contest was renewed. It was the 43rd celebration of the Miss Panama contest and the 26th Annual contest Señorita Panamá, was held at the Ascanio Arosemena Auditorium with the final night at the Tihany Spectacular, Panama, Panama on Friday, May 15, 2009. The new pageant would send the winner to Miss Universe 2009.

Nuestra Belleza Latina 2009 is the third season of Nuestra Belleza Latina premiered in March 2009. Auditions were once again held in five major US cities and in San Juan, Puerto Rico. During the audition process, 75 young women were given passes to the semi-finals in Miami, Florida. With the twist of adding one more contestant named "La Intrusa". For several weeks, Francheska Mattei, a professional actress, posed as one of the contestants to know the rumors, secrets, and even gossip from the girls. The elimination process was quick, with 15 women leaving the first day, 40 on the second week, and finally 8 women were eliminated leaving the 12 finalists who will be moving into a Miami mansion where they will be living together for the rest of the competition. Each week, viewers will have a chance to vote for their favorite finalists. The three women with the fewest votes will then be in danger of being eliminated. However, two of the women in the bottom three will have the chance of being saved, one by her fellow finalists, and the other by the judges. This year they had an "Intrusa", the one that spilled the gossip about the contestants and it was Puerto Rican, Francheska Mattei.

Nuestra Belleza México 2001, the 8th Nuestra Belleza México pageant, was held at the Aeropuerto Internacional "Lic. Adolfo López Mateos" of Toluca, Estado de México, Mexico on September 28, 2001. Forty-seven contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title, which was won by Ericka Cruz from Yucatán, who later competed in Miss Universe 2002 in Puerto Rico. Cruz was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Jacqueline Bracamontes. She is the first and only Yucateca and the third winner of foreign descent to win this Title.

Miss Universe Puerto Rico is a national beauty pageant in Puerto Rico, held annually since 1952. Currently, the pageant is responsible for selecting Puerto Rico's delegates to Miss Universe. Since 2018, the organization is owned by Hemisphere Media Group, and the annual competition is broadcast on WAPA TV and WAPA América. After Hemisphere Media Group acquired the rights of the franchise, Denise Quiñones, was appointed as the director of the organization.

At the end of the event, Michelle Colón of Loíza crowned Ashley Cariño of Fajardo as her successor. Cariño represented Puerto Rico at Miss Universe 2022, where she placed in the Top 5.
Señorita Panamá 2021 was the 55th Señorita Panamá pageant. It selected the national representatives to the Miss Universe, Miss Supranational, and Miss Grand International competitions. This was the sixth edition of the renewed Señorita Panama pageant, under the direction of Cesar Anel Rodríguez, who took charge of the national event in 2016. Twenty nine preliminary contestants were selected from throughout Panama and competed for the crown.
