Mixmash Records is a record label founded by DJ and producer Laidback Luke. [1] The label primarily distributes house music, with subgenres including electro house, future house and progressive house. Mixmash Records is known to provide young talents a platform and is considered by many to be one of the most important labels in terms of new sounds and genre developments. [2] Some artists that have worked and published on Mixmash Records include Avicii, Afrojack, Steve Angello, Blasterjaxx, D.O.D, Inpetto, Keanu Silva, Mark Villa, A-Trak and Steve Aoki.

History

Founded in 2004, the label was originally meant to be an outlet for Laidback Luke's productions. [3] Later, it became an imprint where some upcoming talents released their first tracks. The label also has two sub-labels; Mixmash Deep and Ones To Watch Records. Whilst Mixmash Deep focuses on deep house and future house tracks, Ones To Watch is more trap, Jersey House and Dirty Dutch oriented.

Steven Hiroyuki Aoki is an American DJ, record producer, music programmer, record executive, and heir to his father Rocky Aoki's fortune from the Benihana restaurant franchise. In 2012, Pollstar designated Aoki as the highest grossing electronic dance music artist in North America from tours. He has collaborated with artists such as will.i.am, Afrojack, LMFAO, Linkin Park, Iggy Azalea, Lil Jon, blink-182, Laidback Luke, BTS, Monsta X, Louis Tomlinson, Backstreet Boys, Rise Against, Vini Vici, Lauren Jauregui, and Fall Out Boy and is known for his remixes of artists such as Kid Cudi. Laidback Luke Dutch-Filipino DJ and music producer

Lucas Cornelis van Scheppingen, better known under his stage name Laidback Luke, is a Dutch-Filipino DJ and music producer from Hoofddorp, North Holland. He is also a martial artist. He notably remixed the Robin S. song, "Show Me Love" which charted at No. 11 on the UK charts in 2009. He is also the founder of Mixmash Records.

"Get Dumb" is a 2007 single by Swedish DJs Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, along with Dutch DJ Laidback Luke. It was the first of two songs to feature all four artists, followed by "Leave the World Behind" in 2009. The song was also the first ever collaboration by the Swedish trio before their formation as a supergroup. The song charted in the Netherlands, peaking at #45.

Rocco Rampino, better known as Congorock, is an Italian producer and DJ. He is best known for his song "Babylon" in 2010.

He collaborated with Tiësto on a single titled "Paradise" in 2013, and also that year he collaborated with Hardwell on the single "Never Say Goodbye". Featuring Bright Lights, it peaked at No. 23 on the UK Dance Chart. In 2014 Dyro ranked No. 27 on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs list.

Marc Benjamin Latupapua, better known under his stage name Marc Benjamin, is a Dutch DJ and music producer. He is known for his remix work and collaborations with Afrojack, Zedd, Fedde Le Grand, Benny Benassi, Laidback Luke and his releases on Spinnin' Records, Ultra Records, Universal Music Group, and Axtone Records.
