Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid (born 26 October 1984) is Moroccan Minister of Youth,Culture and Communication. He was appointed as Minister on 7 October 2021. [1] [2] [3]
Bensaid holds a Master in African Affairs from the Sciences Po,a Master in International Relations from the Institut français des relations internationales and a Master in International Relations from the Institut d'études politiques de Toulouse. [4]
In 2019,he acquired 50% of Neo Motors' capital through a 500 million dirham (about 50,000,000 USD) investment. [5]
Morocco is a member of the United Nations and belongs to the African Union,Arab League,Arab Maghreb Union (UMA),Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC),the Non-Aligned Movement and the Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD). Morocco's relationships vary greatly between African,Arab,United States,United Kingdom,Australia,and Western states. Morocco has had strong ties with the West in order to gain economic and political benefits. France and Spain remain the primary trade partners,as well as the primary creditors and foreign investors in Morocco. There are a number of languages in Morocco. De jure,the two official languages are Standard Arabic and Standard Moroccan Berber. Moroccan Arabic is by far the primary spoken vernacular and lingua franca,whereas Berber languages serve as vernaculars for significant portions of the country. The languages of prestige in Morocco are Arabic in its Classical and Modern Standard Forms and sometimes French,the latter of which serves as a second language for approximately 33% of Moroccans. According to a 2000–2002 survey done by Moha Ennaji,author of Multilingualism,Cultural Identity,and Education in Morocco,"there is a general agreement that Standard Arabic,Moroccan Arabic,and Berber are the national languages." Ennaji also concluded "This survey confirms the idea that multilingualism in Morocco is a vivid sociolinguistic phenomenon,which is favored by many people."
Mehdi Ben Barka was a Moroccan nationalist,Arab socialist,politician,revolutionary,anti-imperialist,head of the left-wing National Union of Popular Forces (UNFP) and secretary of the Tricontinental Conference. An opponent of French Imperialism and King Hassan II,he was "disappeared" in Paris in 1965.
The State of Israel and the Kingdom of Morocco formally established diplomatic relations in 2020,when both sides signed the Israel–Morocco normalization agreement in light of the Abraham Accords. While official ties had previously not existed due to the Arab–Israeli conflict,the two countries maintained a secretive bilateral relationship on a number of fronts following the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. For many years,Moroccan king Hassan II facilitated a relationship with Israeli authorities,and these ties are considered to have been instrumental in stabilizing Morocco and striking down possible anti-monarchy threats within the country. The Israeli passport is accepted for entry into Morocco,with a visa granted on arrival. With the bilateral normalization agreement in December 2020,Morocco officially recognized Israeli statehood. Almost three years later,in July 2023,Israel officially recognized Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara.

Founded in May 2018 by Nassim Belkhayat and Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid,a prototype SUV was unveiled in May 2023 during a showcase to King Mohammed VI. Neo Motors is the first homegrown automobile company in Morocco. The company began delivering their first models in December 2023.
