Jigawa State is one of the 36 states of Nigeria, located in the northern region of the country. Created on 27 August 1991, under the General Ibrahim Babangida administration who announced the creation of nine additional states in the country bringing the total number of states then to thirty. The announcement was given a legal backing through the; State Creation and Transitional Provisions Decree No. 37 of 1991. Jigawa State was a part of Kano State and was located in the northeastern-most region of Kano State, and it forms part of Nigeria's national border with the Republic of Niger. El-Rufai also served as director of the Bureau of Public Enterprises. He is a co-founding member of the ruling party All Progressives Congress.

The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is a Ministry of the Federal Government of Nigeria that has the mandate to ensure food security in crop, livestock and fisheries, stimulate agricultural employment and services, promote the production and supply of raw materials to Agro- allied industries, provide markets for the products of the industrial sector, generate foreign exchange and aid rural Socio-economic development throughout Nigeria. The board of Governors of Kaduna Polytechnic was set up in 1991, with representative of eleven state governments, universities, rectors. The board is responsible for the supervision and control of the school. They are called the Governing Council.
Ahmed Tijjani Mora (OON) is a Nigerian pharmacist, academic, former Registrar and now Chairman of the Governing Council of Pharmacists Council of Nigeria. He is the National President, Ahmadu Bello University Alumni Association. He was elected President of the Alumni Association in August 2015 at the Annual General Assembly (AGA) of the association. Bashir Abubakar is a Nigerian politician who holds the title of Barden Kudun Zazzau. He retired from the Nigeria Customs Service in 2020 and had risen to the management rank of Assistant Controller General Of Customs (ACG). His retirement opened up an opportunity for him to join politics where he contested for primary election for Kaduna State Governorship position under All Progressives Congress (APC), where he emerged as 1st runner-up.
