Mohammed Jubayer Salehin SUP, ndu, psc is a major general of the Bangladesh Army. [1] Currently attached in Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Beforehand he served as Director General of Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies. He was adjutant general at army headquarters. Prior to join AG, he was Engineer-in-Chief at the Bangladesh Army. Earlier, he served as commandant of Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) since 24 January 2021. [2] [3]

Career

After completion of SSC and HSC from Cumilla Cadet College, he joined the Bangladesh Army. Then he got commissioned in the Corps of Engineers of Bangladesh Army on 23 December 1988 with 19th Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) Long Course. As a Brigadier General, he commanded an Engineer Construction Brigade involved in National Infrastructure Development and, an Infantry Brigade deployed in counterinsurgency role in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. [4] He also served as the Chief Engineer of Dhaka City Corporation. [5] He is the current governing body member of National Defence College and Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre. On 24 Aug 2021, He led a delegation for a joint warfare workshop has been conduct with Sri Lankan Army. He later met with Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Sri Lanka Army General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc and Commandant of DSCSC, Sri Lanka Major General Nishantha Herath RSP USP psc. [6] Major General Salehin commanded 17th Infantry Division as its General Officer Commanding before he joined DSCSC. Major General Salehin has been awarded the Army Excellence Medal (SUP) for his extraordinary service in Army. He is serving as Vice Chairman of Trust Bank and Astha Life Insurance Company Limited as of November 2023.[ citation needed ]

Family

Jubayer Salehin is happily married to Samia diwan. He is a father of two daughters. Salehin's father, Professor Ansar Ali was the principal of Chuadanga Government College and Darsana Govt. College. [7]

Security Forces Headquarters – Central (SFHQ-C) is a regional command of the Sri Lanka Army, that is responsible for the operational deployment and command all army units stationed in the Central and Southern parts of the island, this includes two divisions. The current Commander SFHQ-C is Major General M K S Silva RWP RSP ndu. The SFHQ-C is based at the Diyatalawa Garrison.

Major General Jagath Gunawardena, RSP, VSV, USP was a Sri Lankan senior army officer. He was the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lankan Army, having served as the Commandant of the Volunteer Force, Commander, Security Forces Headquarters – Wanni and Master General of Ordnance. He served as the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Engineers.

Major General K. P. Aruna Jayasekara, WWV, RSP, VSV, USP is a former senior Sri Lanka Army officer and a socialist politician. He has served as the Commander, Security Forces Headquarters – East (2018-2019), Director of Training, Army Headquarters.
