Monge is a lunar impact crater that lies along the southwestern edge of the Mare Fecunditatis. It was named after French mathematician Gaspard Monge. [1] The outer rim is somewhat irregular in shape, with an outward bulge to the east and smaller bulges to the north and northwest. The interior floor is somewhat irregular in the eastern half, and there are accumulations along the bases of the sloping interior walls. The nearest named crater is Cook to the northeast, while the larger Santbech is located to the west-southwest.

König is a lunar impact crater on the southwest Mare Nubium. It was named after Austrian mathematician and astronomer Rudolf König. It lies to the southwest of the prominent crater Bullialdus, and northwest of the flooded Kies. The rim of König is somewhat polygonal in outline, with a small outward bulge to the south and only a slight outer rampart. The crater interior is rough and irregular, with a negligible central peak. The material along the inner sides has slumped to the floor forming a ring of debris around the small central floor.

Al-Biruni is an impact crater that lies on the far side of the Moon, just beyond the eastern limb. This portion of the surface is sometimes brought into sight due to librations of the Moon, but due to its location the crater is viewed from the side. Al-Biruni lies to the south of the crater Joliot, and to the northeast of Goddard. It is named after the great Persian scientist Al-Biruni.
