The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) is a public medical school in Memphis,Tennessee. It includes the Colleges of Health Professions,Dentistry,Graduate Health Sciences,Medicine,Nursing,and Pharmacy. Since 1911,the University of Tennessee Health Science Center has educated nearly 57,000 health care professionals. As of 2010,U.S. News &World Report ranked the College of Pharmacy 17th among American pharmacy schools.

Sherita Hill Golden is an American physician who is the Hugh P. McCormick Family Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Johns Hopkins University. She also serves as vice president and chief diversity officer. Her research considers biological and systems influences on diabetes and its outcomes. She was elected Fellow of National Academy of Medicine in 2021.

Selwyn Maurice Vickers is an American gastrointestinal surgical oncologist. He is the President and CEO of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center,starting in September 2022. Previously,he was the senior vice president for Medicine and Dean of the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine and the CEO of both the UAB Health System and the UAB/Ascension St. Vincent's Alliance.

She is the Deputy Director of Johns Hopkins Center for Health Equity and a Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Crews research focuses on how health,environmental,genetic,historical,cultural,and socioeconomic factors impact African-American health,longevity,and quality of life.
