Monochamus vagus is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Charles Joseph Gahan in 1888, originally under the genus Monohammus . It is known from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It contains the varietas Monochamus vagus var. bomasi. [1]

These functions include, among others, bronchoconstriction and gland secretion. Monochamus is a genus of longhorn beetles found throughout the world. They are commonly known as sawyer beetles or sawyers, as their larvae bore into dead or dying trees, especially conifers such as pines. They are the type genus of the Monochamini, a tribe in the huge long-horned beetle subfamily Lamiinae, but typically included in the Lamiini today.

The cranial root of accessory nerve is the smaller of the two portions of the accessory nerve.
