Montie FM is a private FM radio station broadcasting from Accra, Ghana. In August 2016, Montie Fm was involved in a criminal contempt suit with the Supreme Court of Ghana. [1]

Ownership

It is owned by Network Broadcasting Company Limited although its operating frequency of 101.1 was set up by Harry Zakour of Zeze Media as a propaganda tool for the National Democratic Congress political party. [2] Its board of directors are Ato Ahwoi (brother of Kwesi Ahwoi), Edward Addo, Kwasi Kyei Darwkah, and Kwesi Bram Addo. [3]

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is a Ghanaian politician who has served as the president of Ghana since 7 January 2017. In 2020, he was re-elected for his second term, which will end on 6 January 2025. General elections were held in Ghana on 7 December 2016 to elect a President and Members of Parliament. They had originally been scheduled for 7 November 2016, but the date was later rejected by Parliament. Former foreign minister Nana Akufo-Addo of the opposition New Patriotic Party was elected President on his third attempt, defeating incumbent President John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress.

Harry Zakour is a Lebanese-Ghanaian based businessman and former association football administrator. He is Second Vice Chairman of National Democratic Congress (2016) and owner of Montie FM's transmitting frequency. CEO of Accra Hearts of Oak, he is seen as one of the most successful club Chief Executive Officers in the history of Ghana football. The Pinnacle of his achievement was in the year 2000 when the club won the Ghana Premier League, The Ghana FA Cup, the Africa CAF Champions League and the Africa super Cup

Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie was a Ghanaian lawyer and politician. He held several political positions including serving as general secretary of the New Patriotic Party. He was serving as the chief executive officer of Forestry Commission of Ghana before his demise.

Kwasi Sainti Baffoe-Bonnie was a Ghanaian media administrator and politician. He was the founder and CEO of Network Broadcasting Company Limited which served as a mother company for Radio Gold.
