Montreal Concordia FC was a Canadian soccer team based in Montreal, Quebec, formerly known as Sparta FC and then Canadian Alouettes FC. The club won Canadian titles in 1959 and 1961.
In the 1950s, the club was known as Canadian Czechoslovak Sparta FC Montreal, or simply Sparta FC. In 1956, the team won the Quebec Cup and also represented the province in the Challenge Trophy playdowns for the first time. The team was coached that year by Doug McMahon.
In 1959, with real estate businessman Joe Slyomovics serving as president, the team changed its name to Canadian Alouettes FC. In September, the team won their Canadian title, defeating the Westminster Royals FC to lift the Carling's Red Cap Trophy.
In 1960, Slyomivics changed the team name to Montreal Concordia FC. In the National Soccer League, Concordia finished in third place in the league standings.
In 1961, Concordia FC played in both the National Soccer League and the International Soccer League. They finished second in the National Soccer League standings. On 29 July, Concordia defeated Vancouver Firefighters 1–0 in Montreal's Faillon Stadium to capture their second Canadian championship in three years. [1]

The National Soccer League was a soccer league in Canada that existed from 1926 to 1997. Teams were primarily based in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec. The league was renamed to Canadian National Soccer League in 1993 following the folding of the Canadian Soccer League, and the accepting of the Winnipeg Fury, making the league more national. In the 1960s, the Canadian National Soccer League was one of four major leagues in Canadian soccer alongside the Pacific Coast League, the Eastern Canada Professional Soccer League and the Western Canada Soccer League.

Ken Pears is a former Canadian soccer goalkeeper. He was a four-time national champion with Westminster Royals FC (1953), Vancouver Hale-Co FC (1956), Vancouver Columbus FC (1964), and Vancouver Firefighters FC (1965). He was Canada's starting goalkeeper during FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in 1957. He is an honoured member of the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame as part of the inaugural class in 2000.
Doug Greig is a Canadian former soccer player. He was an outstanding player who played for several teams, most notably Vancouver Firefighters FC with whom he played in the 1961 Canadian final. He was also Canada's starting left half during the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in 1957. After his retirement, he became an honoured member of the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame.

Originally known as Westminster United in 1912, they were Canada's dominant team for close to a decade from when they were known as the Westminster Royals in the 1920s and 1930s.
