Monty Tipton (born January 18, 2007) is an American professional stock car racing driver who last competed part-time in the ARCA Menards Series West, driving the No. 49 Chevrolet for 3K Motorsports.

Racing career

Tipton first started his racing career competing in go-karts at the age of ten before progressing up to the junior late model program at Madera Speedway at the age of fourteen.[ citation needed ]

Tipton has raced various late model events at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Bullring, having first competed at the track in 2022. [1] In 2023, he finished third in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series standings in Nevada with thirteen top-tens in fifteenth starts. [2]

In 2023, it was revealed that Tipton would make his debut in the ARCA Menards Series West at the Bullring, driving the No. 49 Chevrolet for 3K Motorsports. [3] After placing tenth in the only practice session, [4] he qualified in seventeenth and finished in eighteenth due to transmission issues. [5] [6] Tipton returned with the team in the following race at Madera Speedway, where he practiced and qualified in seventeenth and finished in twelfth due to a crash with a handful of laps remaining. Personal life

Outside of racing, Tipton is a participating Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America.[ citation needed ]

The 2020 Star Nursery 150 was the first stock car race of the 2020 ARCA Menards Series West season and the third iteration of the event. The race was held on Thursday, February 20, 2020, in North Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Bullring, a 0.375 miles (0.604 km) low-banked permanent racetrack. The race took the scheduled 150 laps to complete. At race's end, Sam Mayer of GMS Racing would dominate the race to win his first and to date, final career ARCA Menards Series West win and his first and only win of the season. To fill out the podium, Jesse Love of Bill McAnally Racing and Blaine Perkins of Sunrise Ford Racing would finish second and third, respectively.

The race is scheduled to be held on Friday, October 14, 2022, in North Las Vegas, Nevada at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Bullring, a 0.375 mile permanent oval shaped racetrack. The race was increased from 150 laps to 158 laps, due to a green-white-checker finish. Taylor Gray, driving for David Gilliland Racing, would be unstoppable throughout the entire race, leading all but one lap for his fifth career ARCA Menards Series West win, and his second of the season. To fill out the podium, Andrés Peréz de Lara, driving for David Gilliland Racing, and Landen Lewis, driving for Bill McAnally Racing, would finish 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
