Mort Aux Vaches (English: Death to Cows) is Tim Hecker's fourth release. It is a part of Staalplaat's series of live releases from a wide range of artists of the same name. Hecker's recording is from a live set for Dutch national radio VPRO, recorded on 3 May 2004.

Zoviet France are a music group from Newcastle upon Tyne in north east England. While often dissonant and made of industrial textures, their music also falls into the ambient music category. Formed in 1980, and remaining largely anonymous, the group has had a number of members; presently it consists of co-founder Ben Ponton and Mark Warren. Former members included Neil Ramshaw, Peter Jensen, Robin Storey, Lisa Hale, Paolo Di Paolo, Mark Spybey and Andy Eardley. In 2005 Storey, Spybey and Eardley formed a new group, Reformed Faction.

Mort aux Vaches is the name of a series of albums released by the Staalplaat record label in collaboration with the Dutch radio station, VPRO. The name translates literally from French as “Death to Cows,” with “cows” being French slang for cops - it is equivalent to “Death to Pigs” in English.
Mort Aux Vaches is a full-length session recording from ambient music artist Colleen, released in 2006 as part of the Mort Aux Vaches music series. Keeping with the style of the series the album is packaged in a hardback case wrapped in textured wallpaper and fastened with a safety pin. It was limited to 500 copies.

Colleen et les Boîtes à Musique is a 14-track EP by French electronica artist Colleen released on October 2, 2006. It was recorded between 2004 and January 2006 for the atelier de création radiophonique of France Culture, a national radio station, to be played back in a special broadcast. Schott was pleased with the results and soon decided to also release the recordings as an EP. This EP became her second release of 2006, acting as successor to the Mort Aux Vaches live album released in January.
Yellow Swans are an American experimental music band from Portland, Oregon. The duo were renowned for their improvisational approach to noise music, creating a unique experience for each live performance. They described their music as "a constantly evolving mass of psychedelic noise that is both physically arresting and psychically liberating". The band consisted of Pete Swanson and Gabriel Mindel Saloman. The band announced their split in April 2008. A live show by Yellow Swans at the festival Oblivion Access was announced in 2023.

Radical Computer Music is a concept developed by the Danish experimental composer Goodiepal referring to, fundamentally, music notated not by computer networks but for computer networks, as a gesture towards the machine and the artificial intelligence expected to develop from it. Goodiepal coined the term while he was a teacher of composition at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, Denmark, between 2004 and 2008, and he especially developed the project Mort Aux Vaches Ekstra Extra, which is a compositional game scenario questioning the role of the composer, time, notation and media, to thoroughly demonstrate the concept.
