Motion: Live: 9.17.97, commonly referred to as Motion, is a live EP released by The Mayfield Four, released in 1997. [5] It is a very rare item and is a highly sought after collector's item among fans. Former Mayfield Four vocalist Myles Kennedy has stated that "only about 5,000 copies were ever made".[ citation needed ]

The album does not have a bar code, due to the fact that it was only sold at the band's concerts. [6]

The building on the front of the album is the Suki-Yaki inn, a small Japanese restaurant from downtown Spokane. The band was known for hanging out there a lot when they were younger. The inn is a couple of blocks away from Outback Jack's, where the album was recorded. [6]

The band was formed in 2004 by vocalist/rhythm guitarist Myles Kennedy, lead guitarist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips. After their former band Creed became inactive in 2003, Tremonti and Phillips formed a new band with former bandmate Marshall and new member Kennedy; Alter Bridge was formally unveiled in January 2004, months before Creed's official breakup in June.

Mark Thomas Tremonti is an American musician best known for his tenures with Creed and Alter Bridge. He is a founding member of both bands, and has also collaborated with many other artists over the years. He formed his own band, Tremonti, in 2011, releasing the album All I Was in July 2012, followed by Cauterize in June 2015, Dust in April 2016 and A Dying Machine in June 2018. The Pleasure and the Greed is the second studio album by Canadian-American rock band Big Wreck and the last released before their break-up. In April 2001, the band made seven songs from the album available for download on their website. On April 30, the band released the lead single from the album, "Inhale", which achieved notable radio airplay in Canada. Songs "Ladylike" and "Knee Deep" were also released as singles and music videos were released for each of them.
