Miss India or Femina Miss India is a national beauty pageant in India that annually selects representatives to compete in Miss World, one of the Big Four major international beauty pageants. It is organised by Femina, a women's magazine published by The Times Group. Since 2013, Femina also organizes Miss Diva separately which sends representatives to Miss Universe.
Mister Venezuela is an annual male pageant held in Venezuela. The winner and finalists from the contest go on to represent Venezuela in many international pageants. The Mister Venezuela pageant was started under the guardianship of Osmel Sousa and María Kallay with the intent of creating a male contest with the same discipline, quality and success as its female counterpart. The first contest was held on July 17, 1996 and the winner was contestant number 20, José Gregorio Faría.
The 50th edition of Femina Miss India was held at Yash Raj Studios, Mumbai, on March 24, 2013. The show was telecast live on Colors. A total of 23 contestants competed in the beauty pageant. Navneet Kaur Dhillon of Punjab was crowned Femina Miss India World 2013 by the outgoing titleholder Vanya Mishra. Sobhita Dhulipala and Zoya Afroz were crowned the 1st and 2nd Runners Up respectively.
The 51st edition of the Femina Miss India beauty pageant was held on April 5, 2014 in Mumbai, India. Finalists had been selected in a previous round held in Bangalore in January 2014, with 24 women competing for the title of Miss India World. Koyal Rana from Delhi was crowned Femina Miss India 2014 by the previous year's winner Navneet Kaur Dhillon, while Jhataleka Malhotra and Gail Nicole Da Silva were crowned 1st and 2nd Runners Up respectively.
Grasim Mr. India was a national male beauty pageant in India that annually selected representatives to compete globally at Mr. International, Mister World, Mr. Intercontinental and Best Model of the World. In the years 1996 and 1998, the winner of the contest represented India at Mister World contest. Later the title was changed to "Mr. India" International and the winner was sent to compete at Mr. International pageant. Later in 2007 and 2008, Hayward 5000 organized Mr India pageant and the winner was sent to Mister World. In 2010 and 2012, Grasim Mr. India again sent its winner to Mister World and the title was renamed Mr India World. Since 2014, The Times Group owns the right to organize Mr India World contest and its winner represents India at Mister World.
Miss Diva was introduced by Femina to select a candidate to represent the country at Miss Universe.
Prateek Jain is an Indian model, actor and the winner of Provogue MensXP Mister World India 2014. He represented India at Mister World 2014 and was among Top 10 Finalists. In 2015, he won Asian Supermodel Contest held in China. He is the first Indian man to win the Asian Supermodel Contest.

Fourteen contestants from all over India were chosen as finalists to compete in the main event in Mumbai. 25 years old Prateik Jain from Bangalore was declared Provogue MensXP Mr India World 2014. 25 years old Puneet Beniwal from New Delhi was declared 1st Runner Up and 23 years old Bharat Raj from Chennai was declared 2nd Runner Up.
The second edition of Miss Diva was held on 14 October 2014. Fifteen contestants were shortlisted from thousands of aspirants in the country, who were mentored by Miss Universe 2000, Lara Dutta. At the end of the event, Miss Universe India 2013, Manasi Moghe crowned Noyonita Lodh as her successor. She represented India India at the Miss Universe 2014 pageant held in Doral, Florida, USA on 25 January 2015. At the same event, Alankrita Sahai was crowned as Miss Diva - Earth 2014 and Asha Bhat was crowned as Miss Diva - Supranational 2014.
Rohit Khandelwal, is an Indian model, actor, television personality, winner of Mr India 2015 and the first ever Asian to be crowned Mister World in the 2016 contest.
Mister World 2016 was the 9th edition of the Mister World competition. It was held at the Floral Hall of the Southport Convention Centre in Southport, England on July 19, 2016. Nicklas Pedersen of Denmark crowned Rohit Khandelwal of India at the end of the event, becoming the first Asian to win the title.

Viren Barman from New Delhi was declared the 1st Runner Up and Altamash Faraz from New Delhi was declared the 2nd Runner Up at the grand finale held in Club Royalty, Mumbai.
Peter England Mr India 2017 was the ninth edition of Mr India World contest held on 14 December in Mumbai. Sixteen contestants from all over the country were shortlisted to compete in the finals. Previous year's winner, Mr India 2016, Vishnu Raj Menon passed on his title to Jitesh Singh Deo of Lucknow. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut took part of the event to felicitate the winners.
Femina Miss India 2019 was the 56th edition of the Femina Miss India beauty pageant. It was held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium, Mumbai on June 15, 2019, and was hosted by Karan Johar, Manish Paul and Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar. At the end of the event, Anukreethy Vas of Tamil Nadu crowned Suman Rao of Mumbai as her successor. She represented India at Miss World 2019 in London and placed 2nd Runner Up.
Miss Diva 2020 was the 8th edition of the Miss Diva beauty pageant held on February 22, 2020. A total of 20 contestants were shortlisted from various auditions across the country. Vartika Singh crowned Adline Castelino as her successor and she represented India at Miss Universe 2020. Shefali Sood crowned Aavriti Choudhary as her successor and she will represent India at Miss Supranational 2021. Miss Diva 2018 Runner up Roshni Sheoran crowned Neha Jaiswal as her successor. Anntonia Porsild, Miss Supranational 2019 graced the event. This was the first edition of Miss Diva under Liva Fluid Fashion.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, for the first time in the history of Femina Miss India, the entire process of the contest was held digitally. The contest was scheduled in four phases with the grand finale held on 10 February 2021 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Mumbai.
