Lotto–Soudal Ladies is a women's professional cycling team based in Belgium, which competes in elite road bicycle racing and track cycling events, such as the UCI Women's World Tour. Widely regarded as the start of the Classics season, it was a 1.Pro event on the women's international calendar. The race followed a similar route to that of the men's race, but was shorter and more straightforward at only 124.4 kilometres (77.3 mi), starting in Ghent and finishing in Ninove. For the first time, the women's race finished an hour after the men's race, allowing for the final hour to be broadcast live on television.
The 18th running of the Tour of Flanders for Women, a women's cycling race in Belgium, was held on 4 April 2021, serving as the 5th event of the 2021 UCI Women's World Tour. It was won for the second time by Annemiek van Vleuten, whose first win in this race came a decade prior.
