Da Skool Boy Presents Murphy's Law is the debut solo studio album by American rapper Murphy Lee. It was released on September 23, 2003 via Universal Records. The recording sessions took place at Basement Beats Studios in St. Louis, Stankonia Recording and SouthSide Studios in Atlanta, The Hit Factory and Daddy's House Recording Studio in New York City. Production was handled by Jay E, Waiel "Wally" Yaghnam, Jermaine Dupri, City Spud, Jayson "Koko" Bridges, Jazze Pha, Mannie Fresh, and Murphy Lee himself, with LRoc serving as co-producer.
It features guest appearances from fellow St. Lunatics members Nelly, Ali, Kyjuan and City Spud, as well as Darius Bradford, St. Louis Slim, King Jacob, Prentice Church, Avery Storm, Cardan, Jazze Pha, Jermaine Dupri, Lil' Jon, Lil' Wayne, Moshay, P. Diddy, Roscoe, Seven, Sleepy Brown, Toya and Zee.
In the United States, the album debuted at number 8 on the Billboard 200 and number 5 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts, selling around 135,000 copies in its first week. It was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America on November 17, 2003 for the sales of 500,000 units.
The album was supported by the single "Shake Ya Tailfeather", which originally appeared on Bad Boys II Soundtrack . The official lead single off of the album, "Wat Da Hook Gon Be", peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 11 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. The follow-up single "Luv Me Baby" made it to number 54 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The song "Hold Up" was released as a promotional single.

Jermaine Dupri Mauldin is an American rapper and record producer. Raised in Atlanta, Georgia as the son of Columbia Records executive Michael Mauldin, he began his career in music production at the age of nine. He discovered the teen hip-hop duo Kris Kross in 1991. Dupri wrote and produced their 1992 single "Jump," which peaked atop the Billboard Hot 100 and was named the 23rd most successful song of that decade. He established his own record label, So So Def Recordings, in a joint venture with Columbia the following year.
Unleashed is the third studio album by American rapper Bow Wow. It was released on August 19, 2003, by Columbia Records. Recording sessions for the album took place from 2002 to 2003. The album features guest appearances from Amerie, Baby, Mario and Jagged Edge, with its production handled by Bink!, The Neptunes, Jazze Pha, Swizz Beatz and Lil Jon, among others. It is Bow Wow's only album without assistance or production from his mentor Jermaine Dupri, and the first album where he dropped the 'Lil' from his stage name after his film debut in Like Mike (2002).

"Welcome to Atlanta" is a song by American rapper Jermaine Dupri featuring Ludacris. It was released in 2001 as the second single from Dupri's 2001 album Instructions, and appeared as a hidden track on Ludacris' second album, Word of Mouf. The song praises Dupri and Ludacris' hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. It interpolates "Five Minutes of Funk" by Whodini and samples "Do It Baby" by The Miracles.

Da Bomb is the second studio album by the hip-hop duo Kris Kross, released a year after their first album Totally Krossed Out. "Let's Get Down" is a song by American rapper Bow Wow, released on June 24, 2003 as the first single off his third album Unleashed (2003). The song was written by Shad Moss, Phalon Alexander, Rahman Griffin and a then-unknown T.I. It was produced by Jazze Pha and features rapper Birdman under his former alias "Baby". It's the first song to be released by Bow Wow without the "Lil'" moniker in his name after making his film debut in 2002's Like Mike and releasing his cover of "Basketball" for the film's soundtrack. Bow Wow said that following the name change, he wanted to do the same with his music by contributing more into the songwriting process of the album and release a single that matched his new image.
