Murrayville is a small community in the Township of Langley in the Lower Mainland region of British Columbia, Canada. [1]
In 1870, Paul Murray settled in this location and together with his sons owned a quarter section of land on each of the four corners of Yale Road and what now is 216th Street. This area became known as "Murrays corner" after Alexander Murray, who drowned in the Fraser River in January 1884 while attempting in vain to save a friend. Originally Murray was buried at the Fort Langley Cemetery but when the Odd Fellows Cemetery opened his family exhumed his body and relocated it so that he would be closer to home.
In 1925, the post office named it "Murrayville". The area between 216 street, 216a street, 48th ave and 48A avenue is one of the oldest subdivisions in Langley. Of the eight building lots in this subdivision there are still 6 heritage houses (built before 1930).
Murrayville is the location of the Township of Langley Operations Centre, Royal Canadian Mounted Police offices, and the Langley school board office.
The neighbourhood is home to the W.C. Blair Recreation Centre, which houses a wave pool with six 25m swimming lanes and a shallow children's area, as well as a sauna and hot tub. The building also contains a 1,100 sq ft (100 m2) Fitness Room, a 1,500 sq ft (140 m2) weight room, a meeting room, and a multi-purpose room.
Among the historical buildings is an old church building that is currently being used by Holy Nativity Orthodox Church, and the Murrayville Community Hall which has been recently renovated inside to try to bring back some heritage aesthetic. The hall was originally donated by P.Y. Porter and is now used by area residents to hold many different types of functions.
Served by School District 35 Langley, Murrayville has two elementary schools and one high school; James Hill Elementary School, Langley Fundamental Elementary School, and Langley Secondary School. The historic garage has been restored to home the Langley Montessori Elementary School and Early Learning Centre. It also has a Christian elementary and secondary school: Credo Christian Elementary School and Credo Christian High School.
Caledon is a town in the Regional Municipality of Peel in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. The name comes from a shortened form of Caledonia, the Roman name for what is now Scotland. Caledon is primarily rural with a number of hamlets and small villages, but also contains the larger community of Bolton in its southeastern quadrant, adjacent to York Region. Some spillover urbanization also occurs in the south bordering the City of Brampton.

The Township of Langley is a district municipality immediately east of the City of Surrey in southwestern British Columbia, Canada. It extends south from the Fraser River to the Canada–United States border, and west of the City of Abbotsford. Langley Township is not to be confused with the City of Langley, which is adjacent to the township but politically is a separate entity. Langley is located in the eastern part of Metro Vancouver.

Brookswood is a community in the Township of Langley, British Columbia, Canada, located on the west side of that municipality to the south of the Nicomekl River. It is largely a residential area with several commercial areas, a Recreation Centre with a hockey area and curling rink.
Aldergrove is a community in the Township of Langley within British Columbia, Canada, approximately 59 km (37 mi) east of Vancouver. The community is urban in nature and, although not incorporated as a town, is often referred to as one. Aldergrove is located at the southeastern edge of both the Township of Langley and the Greater Vancouver metropolitan area, near the western edge of the Abbotsford metropolitan area. It is home to the Lynden–Aldergrove Border Crossing, one of the Lower Mainland's five land border crossings, connecting it with Lynden, Washington.

The Exhibition subdivision of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, is located on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River and was developed between the two major World Wars. To the west is the Diefenbaker Management Area which boasts the Diefenbaker park and Pioneer Cemetery. The park includes a medium-sized hill which is used for tobogganing and snowboarding, and the park itself is a frequently-used venue for picnics and public events and performances. The Exhibition community is also known as Thornton, after a (now-demolished) public elementary school that formerly served the area and early in its history also went by the name Bellevue.
Albion, British Columbia is a neighbourhood in Maple Ridge, British Columbia and is one of several small towns incorporated within the municipality at its creation. It is the oldest non-indigenous community of the district's settlements, and is only slightly younger than Fort Langley, adjacent across the Fraser River, and Kanaka Creek, which is just to the west and lies along the creek of the same name. Its official definition is the area bounded by the Fraser River, Kanaka Way, and 240th Street, but in its historic sense it means the community centred on and flanking 240th Street and adjoining areas along the Fraser River waterfront and around the Maple Ridge Fairgrounds, while along Kanaka Way and also on the near bank of Kanaka Creek, the creek, is historically the community of Kanaka Creek. Burgeoning newer home construction east of 240th Street near the Lougheed Highway is also often referred to as part of Albion.
Mount Lehman or Mt. Lehman is a small rural community located in the Fraser Valley of south western British Columbia, Canada. The community was established in 1874 and became part of the District of Matsqui in 1892. The District of Matsqui was incorporated into the present day City of Abbotsford, British Columbia in 1995.

Fern Ridge is a neighbourhood of Langley, British Columbia. It is located in the southwestern area of Langley Township, near Campbell Valley Regional Park. 200th Street, or Carvolth Road, runs south through Fern Ridge, and TransLink provides hourly bus service during daylight hours to Langley City. There is one church in the community, a Mennonite church.
The Norwayne Historic District, or Norwayne Subdivision, is an historic residential subdivision, originally built for World War II defense workers. It is located in Westland, Michigan and roughly bounded by Palmer Road on the north, Wildwood Road on the west, Merriman Road on the east, and Glenwood Road and the Wayne County Lower Rouge Parkway on the south. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.
