The Air Museum (Portuguese : Museu do Ar) is an aviation museum of the Portuguese Air Force located at Sintra Air Base and with spaces at Ovar and Alverca.
The museum dates back to the Aero Clube de Portugal in 1909 and was created in 1968 in a former Military Aviation hangar at Alverca. Opening for the first time to the public on July 1, 1971. [1]
In 2009, due to the growth of the collection, a new site at the Sintra Air Base complex was created for the museum and part of the collection was transferred there. [1] [2] [3]
A liaison aircraft is a small, usually unarmed aircraft primarily used by military forces for artillery observation or transporting commanders and messages.
The Cessna Skymaster is an American twin-engine civil utility aircraft built in a push-pull configuration. Its engines are mounted in the nose and rear of its pod-style fuselage. Twin booms extend aft of the wings to the vertical stabilizers, with the rear engine between them. The horizontal stabilizer is aft of the pusher propeller, mounted between and connecting the two booms. The combined tractor and pusher engines produce centerline thrust and a unique sound. The Cessna O-2 Skymaster is a military version of the Cessna Model 337 Super Skymaster.

Flugwerft Schleissheim is an aviation museum located in the German town of Oberschleißheim near Munich, it forms part of the Deutsches Museum collection and complements the aviation exhibits on display at the main site.
