"Music Is the Key" is a song by German recording artist Sarah Connor and all-male American a cappella group Naturally 7. The song was written and produced by longtime collaborators Rob Tyger and Kay Denar and recorded for Connor's third studio album, Key to My Soul (2003). The track talks about the power of music, and eventually finding your own melody through listening.[ original research? ]

"Music Is the Key" was positively reviewed by music critics, many of whom complimented its lyrical content and vocals.[ citation needed ] Selected as the lead single from Key to My Soul and released on 3 November 2003, it became an instant success, reaching number one on the German Singles Chart and peaking within the top five in Belgium and Switzerland.

As with her previous albums, Green Eyed Soul (2001) and Unbelievable (2002), Connor reunited with songwriting and production duo Rob Tyger and Kay Denar to work on the majority of the album, with Diane Warren, TQ, Wayne Wilkins, and Connor's then-husband Marc Terenzi receiving songwriting credits and Brock Landers and Stephen Shape producing "Daddy's Eyes".

The title of the song is inspired by the James Bond movie From Russia with Love. Released as the album's third single on 5 November 2001, it peaked at number one in the Czech Republic, Germany, Portugal and Switzerland and reached the top three in Austria and Finland. "From Sarah with Love" was nominated for Best National Single – Rock/Pop at the 2002 ECHO Awards and received a triple gold certification from the German arm of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry.

The song, written and produced by Kay Denar and Rob Tyger, bears a harmonic resemblance to "From Sarah with Love", an earlier hit from Connor, also composed and written by Denar and Tyger, both having the verses and choruses in B minor and D minor, respectively, as well as a key change to F sharp minor towards the end of the song. X-Cell Records released the song on 1 March 2004 as the second and final single from the album. Lyrically, the song alludes to couple's final dance in a Spanish cafe before they are forced to part ways.

Muttersprache is the ninth studio album by German recording artist Sarah Connor, released by Polydor Records on May 22, 2015. It is her first album to be primarily recorded in German. After her participation in the reality television series Sing meinen Song - Das Tauschkonzert in 2014, the German version of the series The Best Singers, Connor was encouraged to record songs in German. Muttersprache debuted on top of on the German Albums Chart, marking her second number-one album following 2005's Naughty but Nice. Muttersprache is primarily a pop and R&B album.

It debuted at number one in Austria and Germany.
