Music Story is a music service website and international music data provider. It curates, aggregates, and analyzes metadata for digital music services.
Music Story was launched in 2008 as an online musical encyclopedia inspired by AllMusic. It was founded by Jean-Luc Biaulet and Loïc Picaud, [1] the last of whom is the site's editor-in-chief and has authored books on David Bowie, Serge Gainsbourg, Paul McCartney and Red Hot Chili Peppers. [2] Picaud also wrote L'Odyssée du Rock Français, a study of French rock music, [2] and contributed to the reference work Le Rock de A à Z. [3]
The site included artists' biographies, features on various musical genres, and album reviews. [1] Among the contributors and reviewers were music critic Christian Larrède, [4] who has written for the cultural magazine Les Inrockuptibles ; [5] Stan Cuesta, a musician and journalist specialising in rock and folk, [6] who has also contributed to Mojo , Rolling Stone and Rock & Folk ; [7] and Guillaume Belhomme, [8] a jazz musician and author. [9] Along with the French publication Le Guide du CD, the site's album ratings are included in the statistical aggregates compiled by the website Acclaimed Music.[ citation needed ]
Music Story later developed as an editorial enrichment service for digital music platforms, such as artist biographies, and processing and qualification of metadata. In 2013, the company launched an application programming interface (API). [10] Titled, Music Story Pro, [1] it offers integrated digital music search engines, access to third-party content (audio/video streams, photos, lyrics), and music recommendations. In October 2014, the company's products were featured in Radio 2.0 Paris' music technology event, hosted by Radio France. [11]
In 2015, Music Story carried out a fundraising of €600,000 to further its international development. The initiative was supported by France's Institut pour le Financement du Cinéma et des Industries Culturelles. [12] As of May that year, the company's customers included Deezer, Fnac, Amazon, Radio France, Lagardère and Universal. [13]

He has left compositions in all the major subgenres of trouvère poetry: chansons d'amour, jeux-partis, a lai, a descort, a chanson de mal mariée and a ballade. He wrote Marian songs and even an imaginary dialogue with a nightingale. His work can be dated with some precision: the poem "En tous tens" is quoted in the Roman de la violette, which was written around 1225.

Adéodat Constant Adolphe Compère-Morel was a French Socialist politician, agronomist, orator and writer. Characterized as a Marxist doctrinaire, he was one of the founders of the Socialist Party of France. A gifted propagandist, he was a particular expert on social reform in rural France and became viewed as his party's agrarian specialist. He was an associate of the likes of revolutionary Marxist socialist journalist and literary critic Paul Lafargue and authored many books and papers, several of which were partly written with Lafargue. Musically, it has been described as an experimental-inspired dark electropop power ballad featuring piano in its instrumentation. The lyrics discuss Nottet being observed by a "million eyes", as well as on judgments and internal battles. Inspired by the 2008 film Changeling and the music of Sia, "Million Eyes" features androgynous vocals from Nottet. Reviewers likened the song to the work of Rihanna, The Weeknd and Alice on the Roof.
Selfocracy is the debut studio album by Belgian singer Loïc Nottet. It was released in digital and physical formats on 31 March 2017 by Sony Music Entertainment. Nottet rose to fame in 2014 when participating in The Voice Belgique and went on to finish fourth during the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest with "Rhythm Inside". For his debut album, Nottet wanted creative control and wrote some of the material by himself, while collaborating with writer Amy Morrey and producer Alexandre Germys on a majority of the songs. When composing music, Nottet would watch films without sound for inspiration, specifically Beauty and the Beast (1946), Changeling (2008), and Alice in Wonderland (2010). An electropop album influenced by genres including hip hop, experimental music and pop rock, Selfocracy features Nottet lyrically expressing his vision of modern society and addresses topics including toleration, harassment, stereotypes, narcissism, egocentrism and egoism. The singer himself described Selfocracy as a concept album and cited the mirror as a symbol for the entire record.

It was written by Nottet along with Sacha Skarbek, while production was handled by Skydancers. Musically, "On Fire" is a midtempo, urban-inspired electropop song similar to Nottet's past work. Its lyrics are directed at the criticism the singer had received during his career, and discuss topics such as worthlessness, perseverance and rebirth. Four personalities are reflected on the track, as Nottet wanted to personify the moods he was in while composing the song.

L'Emprise is the twelfth studio album by French recording artist Mylène Farmer, released on 25 November 2022 by Stuffed Monkey. The album was produced by Yoann Lemoine, AaRON and Moby, among others. Described as a return to the darker instrumentation of her earlier records, L'Emprise is a concept album which deals with a person who is under psychological manipulation and breaks free from it. In Farmer's words: "Who has not crossed the path of a so-called narcissistic pervert? Who has not one day been under the influence ("l’emprise") of such a person? Feminine or masculine, it doesn't matter. Ultrasensitive beings inhabited by doubts that gnaw at them are ideal prey. The important thing is to identify it and try to combat this grip. It's a theme that upsets me and often puts me in a black rage."
