The channel was originally a joint venture with Foxtel, the RTL Group and BBC Worldwide. It is now owned solely by BBC Studios. Neighbours is an Australian television soap opera that has aired since 18 March 1985. It was created by television executive Reg Watson. The Seven Network commissioned the show following the success of Watson's earlier soap Sons and Daughters. Although successful in Melbourne, Neighbours underperformed in the Sydney market and was cancelled by Seven four months after it began airing. It was immediately commissioned by rival Network Ten for a second production season, which began screening on 20 January 1986. Neighbours became the longest-running drama series in Australian television history. In 2005, it was inducted into the Logie Hall of Fame.
Escape to the Country is a British daytime television property-buying/real estate programme that has been on the air since October 14, 2002. The show was originally produced by Talkback Thames and first aired on BBC One, with repeats on BBC Two. It has gained international syndication. Production later moved to Naked West, a division of Fremantle Media. The programme is commonly referred to as "Escape" among viewers.
Lisa Helen Mitchell is an Australian musician and singer-songwriter who grew up in Albury, New South Wales. Mitchell currently lives in Melbourne and is working on her fourth studio album. Mitchell finished sixth in the 2006 season of Australian Idol. Her debut extended play, Said One to the Other, topped iTunes in Australia and she signed with London-based publisher, Little Victories, a subsidiary of Sony/ATV. By 2008 Mitchell had relocated to the UK where she recorded her debut studio album, Wonder, which peaked at No. 6 on the ARIA Albums Chart. She won the 2009 Australian Music Prize of $30,000 for the album. Mitchell returned to Australia to live in Melbourne. Her second album, Bless This Mess reached No. 7. In March 2015, Mitchell's last single "Wah Ha" was remixed by electronic trio Seekae. Her third album Warriors was released on 16 October 2016 and debuted Top 10 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
A web series is a series of short scripted or non-scripted online videos, generally in episodic form, released on the Internet, which first emerged in the late 1990s and became more prominent in the early 2000s. A single instance of a web series program can be called an episode or a webisode. The scale of a web series is small and a typical episode can be anywhere from three to fifteen minutes in length. Web series are distributed online on video sharing websites and apps, such as YouTube and Vimeo, and can be watched on devices such as desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Internet-connected television sets. They can also be released on social media platforms. Because of the nature of the Internet, a web series may be interactive. Web series are classified as new media.
Fremantle Australia Pty Ltd. is the Australian arm of global British production and entertainment company Fremantle. It was formed in 2006 by the merger of market leader Grundy Television and comedy specialists Crackerjack Productions, which had both been acquired previously by Fremantle.

Wentworth is an Australian television drama series. It was first broadcast on SoHo on 1 May 2013, and it concluded on Fox Showcase with its 100th episode on 26 October 2021. The series serves as a contemporary reimagining of Prisoner, which ran on Network Ten from 1979 to 1986. Lara Radulovich and David Hannam developed Wentworth from Reg Watson's original concept. The series is set in the modern day and initially focuses on Bea Smith's early days in prison and her subsequent rise to the top of the prison's hierarchy. From the fifth season onward, the series shifted to emphasize more of an ensemble format.
The social networking service Myspace was among the most popular web sites in the 2000s decade. Chris Culvenor is an Australian television executive and creator-developer. He is the founder and CEO of Eureka Productions, a TV production company based in Los Angeles and Sydney. The company has produced many programs, including Holey Moley (ABC), Dating Around (Netflix), Crikey! It's the Irwins, The Amazing Race Australia,The Voice (Nine), Australian Spartan (Seven), The Single Wives (Seven), and Drunk History.
The Great Australian Bake Off is an Australian television baking series that is based on the BBC baking competition The Great British Bake Off.
Jimmy Foggo is a BAFTA-winning Australian TV producer and director. Since 2016 he has held the role of head of development at Eureka Productions being involved in the commission and production of The Chefs' Line for SBS and Behave Yourself! for Seven Network. During his five-year tenure in the UK, Foggo produced the BAFTA award-winning series 4 of Made in Chelsea directed MasterChef: The Professionals, was the Senior Digital Producer for Shine TV and was a judge for the 2010 BAFTA New Media Awards. Upon his return to Australia in 2013, Foggo produced and directed series 3 & 4 of River Cottage Australia broadcast on Foxtel and SBS, and taught the Shooter Producer Short Course at AFTRS - the Australian Television and Radio School from 2014 to 2016.
Ted Dhanik is an American business executive. At Myspace, Dhanik was a department VP and had helped launch the company when it was still in its infancy. He founded the technology company Engage:BDR, which went public in Australia in 2017.
