My Brother, My Sister, and I is an autobiographical novel written by Yoko Kawashima Watkins, a Japanese-American writer. It is the sequel to So Far from the Bamboo Grove and it tells the tale of Yoko's life as a refugee in Japan and how her family perseveres without losing faith despite false accusations, murder, sickness, and the fear of not being able to reunite with their father. It instantly starts in Japan, telling the story of their survival. [1]

Yoshiko Kawashima was a Qing dynasty princess of the Aisin-Gioro clan. She was raised in Japan and served as a spy for the Japanese Kwantung Army and Manchukuo during the Second Sino-Japanese War. Yoko Kanno Japanese composer, arranger, music producer

Yoko Kanno is a Japanese composer, arranger and musician best known for her work on the soundtracks of anime films, television series, live-action films, video games, and advertisements. She was born in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. She has written scores for Cowboy Bebop and its live-action adaptation, Darker than Black, Macross Plus, Turn A Gundam, The Vision of Escaflowne, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Wolf's Rain, Kids on the Slope,Genesis of Aquarion and Terror in Resonance, and has worked with the directors Hirokazu Kore-eda, Yoshiyuki Tomino, Shinichirō Watanabe and Shōji Kawamori. Kanno has also composed music for pop artists Maaya Sakamoto and Kyōko Koizumi. She is also a keyboardist, and is the frontwoman for the Seatbelts, who perform many of Kanno's compositions and soundtracks.

Kana Ueda is a Japanese voice actress and singer represented by I'm Enterprise. She is a graduate of Kobe College's department of General Culture. She is best known as the voices of Yumi Fukuzawa in Maria-sama ga Miteru, Rin Tōsaka in Fate/stay night, Hayate Yagami in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Strikers, and Rachel Alucard in BlazBlue. Ueda was raised in Osaka Prefecture and is known for her strong Kansai accent in some of her roles.

Yoko and Yōko are Japanese feminine given names. Yōko is sometimes transliterated as Yohko and Youko.

Alive: The Final Evolution is a manga series written by Tadashi Kawashima and illustrated by Adachitoka. The series premiered in Monthly Shōnen Magazine in October 2003. Tadashi finished the series on his sickbed in February 2010 and the final chapter was published in the March issue of the Monthly Shōnen Magazine, although he died soon after. The chapters were later collected by Kodansha and released in 21 tankōbon bound volumes. Del Rey Manga licensed series for an English localization and released eight volumes. In July 2016, Kodansha USA took over North American release of the series digitally only. An anime adaptation for the series was planned and to be produced by Gonzo and co-produced by Anime International Company, but the adaptation was canceled due to Gonzo being delisted from the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Nier is an action role-playing video game developed by Cavia and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in April 2010. Zero is the protagonist and playable character of the 2013 action role-playing game Drakengard 3, the third main entry in the Drakengard series, developed by Access Games and published by Square Enix. She also appeared in the arcade game Lord of Vermilion III. Zero is an Intoner, one of six god-like beings who control magic through their singing abilities.
