Myka Relocate was an American metalcore band formed in Lafayette, Louisiana in 2007, later based in Houston, Texas. The band has released three studio albums, Self Portrait as a Frozen Father, Lies to Light the Way and The Young Souls in addition to taking part in four annual South by So What?! music festivals between 2012 and 2015 [3] [4] [5] as well as the 2016 SO WHAT! Music Festival. [6] The band is credited with being able to successfully combine electronic elements, guttural screaming and pop vocals. [1]
In 2007, Austin Doré, Sam Albarado and Garrett Hawkins [7] started Myka Relocate [1] in Lafayette, Louisiana. Shortly after, the band enlisted Tori Guidry at lead guitar.[ failed verification ] In the early stages, the band had multiple short term bass players (Trevor Granger, Jack Taylor), before longtime bassist, Luke Burleigh, joined the band in 2008.[ failed verification ] The band self-released an album in the summer of 2008 called Self Portrait as a Frozen Father. At this time the band's genre was post-hardcore.[ citation needed ] Shortly after the release of Self Portrait, Tori Guidry left the band.[ failed verification ] The band operated as a four piece consisting of Hawkins (vocals), Doré (guitars), Burleigh (bass), and Albarado (drums) for the next eighteen months after Guidry's departure.[ failed verification ] On June 26, 2009 [9] the band self-released an EP called ...and of Monsters. In late 2009 vocalist Garett Hawkins posted a bulletin on MySpace announcing his departure from the band.[ citation needed ]
The band announced new vocalist Scott Badon[ failed verification ] and rhythm guitarist Josh Peltier [7] and released one song titled "Take it Easy Mountain Face" to their MySpace page in 2010, [11] but shortly after the band was without a vocalist again.
After finding a loyal following in Lafayette, the band changed their base of operations to Houston, Texas (to draw a larger following) in 2010, adding vocalists John Ritter and Michael Swank [1] and adopted a metalcore sound. [1] [ failed verification ]
The band was named after a phrase used in video game Call of Duty , in which a voice shouts "Sniper, Relocate". The band decided to change the pronunciation of the first word to " /ˈmaɪkə/ ", but decided to spell the word as "Myka". [12] [13]
In early 2013, [14] Albarado and the group parted ways, with Aaron Robertson taking over on percussion. [1] In July of that year, [14] the band signed with Artery Recordings, a label distributed by Razor & Tie. The ensemble then worked with producer Cameron Mizell [1] at Chango Studios [14] to record their debut studio album. [1] In mid-September, the band announced the title of their album as Lies to Light the Way while publishing "Doublespeak", the first single from the album. [15] Preceded five days earlier by a full album stream, [16] the work was released on October 29, 2013, [17] reaching No.22 on Top Heatseekers. [18]
To start off 2014, the band released their first music video entitled "Something to Dream About". [19] In early 2015, the group published an acoustic version of the tune to accompany their music video. [20]
On September 24, 2015, the band announced that their second album The Young Souls would be published in late October. That same day, the group released "New Again", the first single from the record. [21] Throughout the month of October, the ensemble released three consecutive singles from the album. "Cold Hearts", the second single from the album, was released on October 8 [22] with "Bring You Home" being published one week later [23] and "Damage" presented the week following. [24] On the Facebook page for the ensemble, the band announced a music video for "Nerve", released on February 24, 2016. [25]
In early 2016, bassist Luke Burleigh, drummer Aaron Robertson and the band parted ways. [6] [26] [27] [28] From March until April 2016, the group toured the United States with Slaves, Capture the Crown, [29] Outline in Color and Conquer Divide [30] with "Scream Out Fest" at AgeHa (Shinkiba Studio Coast) in Shinkiba, Japan hosting the ensemble in early June 2016. In late June and early July 2016, the ensemble performed throughout the United States on The Young Souls Tour, the first national headline circuit for the group. Light Up The Sky and Out Came The Wolves joined as supporting acts. [32] [33]
In late July 2016, the band indicated through their Facebook page that they plan to write new music soon. [34]
In early February 2017, the ensemble toured Texas, performing shows in Dallas, Austin and Houston. [35]
In late 2017, the band went on hiatus.
On October 30, 2020 vocalist Michael Swank held an Instagram live in which he announced the status of the band to be broken up. [2] [ better source needed ]

Their second studio album, Witness, with current vocalist Beau Bokan, was released October 6, 2009. Their third studio album, Awakening, was released on October 4, 2011. Their fourth studio album, Hollow Bodies, was released on August 20, 2013. To Those Left Behind is the band's fifth studio album, released on September 18, 2015. Their sixth studio album, Hard Feelings, was released on March 23, 2018. Following Traynor's departure, Warth became the band's only remaining original member. In May 2023, the band returned from a brief hiatus with the release of "Wake the Dead", their first song in five years.
Eyes Set to Kill is an American post-hardcore and metalcore band from Tempe, Arizona. The Rodriguez sisters, lead guitarist Alexia and bassist Anissa, along with vocalist Lindsey Vogt started the band in 2003. Lindsey Vogt departed the band in mid-2007 due to issues with management. Lindsey would go on to form a solo project known as "The Taro Sound", and eventually form the band "The Attraction." After Lindsey's departure, Alexia assumed her position as lead vocalist as well as guitarist. Anissa left in late 2016 but returned to the band in 2023.

The group was founded by former lead vocalist Austin Carlile and former bassist Jaxin Hall in mid-2009 after Carlile's departure from Attack Attack!. Carlile departed from the band in December 2016 citing that a long-term health condition prompted his exit. After Carlile's departure, the band continued to pursue creating music with Pauley as the band's bassist and lead vocalist.

Their second EP, Empire reached No. 15 on the Top Heatseekers, meeting a great amount of positive acclaim upon its release in 2009. The following year, the group recorded and released their debut studio album, Deceiver on August 31, 2010, which reached No. 97 on the Billboard 200 and 15 on Independent Albums.
The Color Morale is an American metalcore band from Rockford, Illinois, formed in 2007. The band includes vocalist/keyboardist Garret Rapp, guitarists Devin King and Aaron Saunders, bassist Mike Honson, and drummer Steve Carey. Rapp and Carey are the only two members of the original line-up that remain in the band. The group was signed to Fearless Records before they went into a hiatus in 2018. The band officially returned in March 2020. Before the hiatus, the band has released five studio albums: We All Have Demons, My Devil in Your Eyes, Know Hope, Hold On Pain Ends, and Desolate Divine.

Capture is an Australian metalcore band formed in early 2010 after the break-up of another metalcore outfit, Atlanta Takes State. The band rose to prominence under their original name Capture the Crown when they released the music video for their song, "You Call That a Knife? This Is a Knife!" (2011) on YouTube. The band was signed to Sumerian Records in December 2012 but were dropped in October the following year. Since their formation they have issued two studio albums, 'Til Death, which appeared on three Billboard component charts Top Hard Rock (No. 21), Top Heatseekers (No. 7), and Top Independent Albums (No. 25), and Reign of Terror, which charted at #86 on the U.S. Billboard 200. In August 2013 the group announced the proposed release of an extended play, Live Life, which was released on 4 February 2014. Later in 2014, they announced that they had signed with Artery Recordings. In March 2017, the group shortened its name to simply Capture and unveiled a new song under the new title.
Issues is an American metalcore band based in Atlanta, Georgia, founded in 2012. The band currently consists of guitarist and vocalist AJ Rebollo, bassist and vocalist Skyler Acord, and drummer Josh Manuel. They are known for their combination of metalcore, nu metal, pop and contemporary R&B.
Savages is the fourth studio album by electronic band Breathe Carolina released on April 15, 2014 through Fearless Records in the United States. Upon the album's release, it debuted at No. 22 on the US Billboard 200, No. 4 on the Alternative Albums chart, and topped the Dance/Electronic Albums chart, selling 14,000 copies in its first week. The album spawned six single; "Savages", "Bang It Out" featuring pop duo Karmin, "Sellouts" featuring Danny Worsnop of the metalcore band Asking Alexandria, "Chasing Hearts" featuring Tyler Carter of metalcore group Issues, "Collide" and "I Don't Know What I'm Doing". The album features a more electronic and dance influence rather than the electronic rock and post-hardcore influences seen on the group's previous albums. This is the first album released without former member Kyle Even.
Crown the Empire is an American metalcore band from Dallas, Texas formed in 2010. The band comprises vocalist Andrew "Andy Leo" Rockhold, guitarist Brandon Hoover, bassist Hayden Tree, and drummer Jeeves Avalos. The band are currently signed to Fearless Records and are known for "uniting boundaries between multiple genres in modern metal" and for "fusing unpredictable polyrhythms and sporadic partnering of melodic and dissonant passages". Original vocalist, James Harrison came up with the band name; naming it after the 1950 Lituya Bay tsunami that swallowed one of Alaska’s gulfs.

Dayshell is the solo project of American musician Shayley Bourget. It was originally a metal band from Southern California, formed in 2012 by Bourget and Raul Martinez. Their debut self-titled was released on October 15, 2013. The band's second album, Nexus, was released on October 7, 2016. The band released their third album called Mr. Pain on October 29, 2019.
