Myrna Braza (born 3 November 1983, Bergen, Norway) is a Norwegian/Filipino singer, songwriter and vocal coach/producer. [1]
Braza is a graduate at Bergen Katedralskole, where she got her Examen artium in 2002. She has repeatedly been cited as the soul queen in Bergen. With her distinctive, soulful voice and her impressive charisma on stage, her music is best described as soulful pop. She released her debut so(u)lo album Free As a Bird in 2009, and also has numerous singles and music videos. She is also known for being an excellent live artist and have played several concerts at small and large venues and festivals in Norway, UK and The Philippines [2]
Braza has been the opening artist for the world-renowned soul artists Raphael Saadiq and Dwele. She's featured as a singer and songwriter on several Norwegian and International releases and collaborated with many artists throughout the years. Braza has performed at festivals such as Natjazz, Skånevik Bluesfestival, QuartFestivalen, 100 Dagar, Balejazz, ByLarm and many more. She's also performed on the TV shown Beat for Beat at NRK with e.g. Christian Ingebrigtsen from A1, and other TV shows such as Lydverket and Korslaget on TV2. In 2022 she reintroduced herself as MYRNA, releasing her first EP with songs in Norwegian. Now she's releasing songs in English again and has made it to Spotify playlists like New Music Friday and Ny Pop. She's the lead singer in one of Bergen's leading party bands "Oh Snap!" including Bergen's leading a cappella vocal group Winckel. Marit Elisabeth Larsen is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. She began playing violin aged five and played it until the age of eight. She gained international fame during her teenage years as a member of the pop duo M2M with childhood friend Marion Raven. She then pursued her own music career, releasing her debut solo album Under the Surface in 2006. Her second album, The Chase, was released in Norway in October 2008. "Runaway" is a song by Norwegian singer-songwriter Aurora, included in her debut extended play (EP) Running with the Wolves (2015) and debut album All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend (2016). It was released on 16 February 2015 by Decca and Glassnote Records as the lead single of both projects. The song was written by Aurora with Magnus Skylstad and produced by the latter with Odd Martin Skålnes. Musically, "Runaway" is a downtempo folktronica, synth-pop, electronic, and electropop song with influences from Nordic-folk music. Its lyrics, which were inspired by the grief the singer experienced when being far from her family, express escaping reality and realising the need to return home.
