Negeri Sembilan Matrix Basketball Club, [1] also known as NS Matrix Deers or simply NS Matrix, is a Malaysian men's professional basketball club. [2]

History

The Negeri Sembilan (NS) Matrix basketball team was established in 2015 and is owned by the Matrix Holding Concept Bhd. It was a frequent participant of the Agong Cup. With its roster having players from the Malaysian national team, they are a four-time Agong Cup champions. [2] [3] The club also has a women's team. [4]

NS Matrix is among the six teams of the inaugural season of the Major Basketball League (MBL) of Malaysia in 2022. [5]

They also joined the ASEAN Basketball League and made their debut in the 2023 season. [6]

Negeri Sembilan Football Club, commonly referred to as Negeri Sembilan FC or simply NSFC, is a Malaysian professional football club based in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The club competes in the top division of Malaysian football, the Malaysia Super League.

The 2022 Malaysia Super League, is the 19th season of the Malaysia Super League, the top-tier professional football league in Malaysia for association football clubs since its establishment in 2004, and the 41st season of top-flight Malaysia football overall.

The 2023 Malaysia Super League is the 20th season of the Malaysia Super League, the top-tier professional football league in Malaysia for association football clubs since its establishment in 2004, and the 42nd season of top-flight Malaysia football overall. It is the first season after restructuring, with 18 teams. However, MFL announced there will be only 16 teams as they rejected both Sarawak United and Melaka United due to failed licensing appeal. The league shrunk to 15 teams after Petaling Jaya City officially withdrawn due to the expansion and increased foreign player quota, which are diverted from the club's main vision. On 5 January 2023, UiTM officially withdrawn due to the financial problems. The new season therefore has 14 teams, kicking-off on 24th February.

The 2023 ABL Invitational was the eleventh season of competition of the ASEAN Basketball League. The regular season tipped off on 2 January in Singapore, before moving to 3 other host countries. The season ended with the finals played from 3rd to 15th March. The 2023 season featured eight teams from the region.

The 2015 season was Negeri Sembilan's 92nd year in their history and 4th season in Malaysia Premier League since it was first introduced in 2004. Also it was the second season in the Malaysia Premier League following relegation on 2013 season. Along with the league, the club also participated in the Malaysia FA Cup and the Malaysia Cup.

Negeri Sembilan Football Association (NSFA), commonly referred to as PBNS, is a sports association that is responsible for handling association football sports affairs in Negeri Sembilan. This association is also the owner of Negeri Sembilan FC. PBNS is an association registered with the Office of the Sports Commissioner of Malaysia and one of the affiliates of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM). PBNS is currently led by the President of PBNS, Tunku Syed Razman bin Tunku Syed Idrus Al-Qadri, who is also Tunku Besar Tampin.
