Namlea [3] is a town and kecamatan on the northeastern coast of the Indonesian island of Buru. [4] It is the capital of the Buru Regency.
Namlea has a tropical savanna climate (Aw) with moderate to heavy rainfall from December to July and moderate to little rainfall from August to November. Due to a strong rainshadow effect, it has the lowest rainfall on Buru Island.

Buru is the third largest island within Maluku Islands of Indonesia. It lies between the Banda Sea to the south and Seram Sea to the north, west of Ambon and Seram islands. The island belongs to Maluku province and includes the Buru and South Buru regencies. Their administrative centers, Namlea and Namrole, respectively, have ports and the largest towns of the island. There is a military airport at Namlea which supports civilian cargo transportation.

The Banggai Archipelago is a group of islands, which are located at the far eastern end of Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. It makes up a newly established regency (kabupaten) of Central Sulawesi Province of Indonesia, created by splitting the existing Banggai Regency into a new Banggai Regency situated on the mainland of Sulawesi and a Banggai Islands Regency then comprising the entire archipelago. In December 2014 a further splitting of the Regency was the removal of seven districts to form a new Banggai Laut Regency.
Buru Regency is a regency of Maluku province, Indonesia. When it was first created, the regency encompassed the entire island ; but on 24 June 2008 the southern 40% of the island was split off to form a separate Buru Selatan Regency. The residual Buru Regency comprises the northern 60% of the island of Buru and covers an area of 7,595.58 km2. The population at the 2010 Census was 108,445 and at the 2020 Census this had increased to 135,238. The principal town lies at Namlea.
South Buru Regency is a regency of Maluku, Indonesia. It was created on 24 June 2008 by being split off from the existing Buru Regency. It is located on the island of Buru, of which it comprises the southern 40%. The Regency covers an area of 5,060 km2, and it had a population of 53,671 at the 2010 Census, rising to 75,410 at the 2020 Census. The principal town lies at Elfule in Namrole District.
Southeast Maluku Regency is a regency of Maluku, Indonesia. It is coincident with the Kei Islands, except that the city of Tual, although within the Kei Islands geographically and the seat of the Regency's administration, is technically independent of the Regency. The land area of the Regency is 1,031.81 km2, while the sea area administered by the regency was 3,181 km2; it had a population of 96,442 at the 2010 Census; this increased to 127,843 at the 2020 Census. Banggai Laut Regency is a regency in the province of Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. The regency was established on 14 December 2012, partitioned from the Banggai Islands Regency. It comprises the main island of Banggai itself, the islands of Labobo and Bangkurung to the west of Banggai Island, and the numerous small Bokan Islands to the southeast. It covers a land area of 725.67 km2, and had a population of 70,435 at the 2020 Census.
Tondano is the capital of Minahasa Regency, mainly in the district of West Tondano, in Sulawesi, Indonesia. The city is located in the highlands on the shores of Lake Tondano near Mount Tondano, and enjoys cool temperatures.
