Namrata Das is a veteran actress in Odia film Industry. [1] She is well known for her supporting roles mostly as a mother or grandmother in many movies as well as in television series. [2] She debuted in her first movie Dharitri in 1973 and she has been worked with more than 200 Odia film and 3 Bengali film since then. [3] [4] In January 2020 she receives ' Bhumi Kanya ' award for her four-decade-long contribution towards in the odia film industry. She is also the recipient of a state award for her versatile acting in the film Lakshmi Pratima. [5]

Biography

She was born in Alapua village of Kendrapara district in a Zamindar family. her mother was dead when she was only 9 years old. She is elder in her family and has 4 sisters and 2 brothers. [6]

In 2019, she got the Odisha State Film Awards for Odia Film Khusi. In 2022, Kavya featured in a music video, Tu Ki Kitta by Rishi Singh.

Pupul Bhuyan is an Indian actress, television presenter, and model who has mostly appeared in Odia films, telefilms, daily shops, and reality shows. She started her film career in Ollywood in 2013 through the 1st Odia 3D film Kaunri Kanya along with Kavya Keeran. In 2018, she was crowned as the winner at Opera Mrs. India Global pageant.

Aparajita Mohanty is an Indian actress who mostly appears in Odia Film Industry. She started her career with Sita Labakusha in 1980. Apart from big screen, she played various roles in some Odia television serials.

Hakim Babu is a 1985 Indian Odia-language drama film directed by Pranab Das and starring Ajit Das, Jaya Swami and Bijaya Jena. The film marks the second collaboration between Pranab and Ajit Das after Sesha Pratikhya (1979). The story is based on Bibhuti Patnaik's novel of the same name and talks about industrialization and displacement in an Odisha village.
