Suna Panjuri is a 1995 Indian Odia-language romantic drama film directed by Ravi Kinnagi. [1] A remake of Bengali film Amar Sangee , [2] it stars Bijay Mohanty, Siddhant Mahapatra, Indira Krishnan and Debu Bose in lead roles, although there were no credits. All the songs were superhit in 1995, specially "Puchuki Gali" sung by Sonu Nigam. [3] [4]

Odia literature is literature written in the Odia language, mostly from the Indian state of Odisha. The modern Odia language is mostly formed from Tadbhava words with significant Sanskrit (Tatsama) influences, along with loanwords from Desaja, English, Hindustani (Hindi/Urdu), Persian, and Arabic. Hara Pattanaik, also known as Hari Patnaik, was an Indian actor, director and screenplay writer known for his works in Odia cinema. He has acted over 60 Odia-language movies and directed about 19 others. Pattanaik was instrumental in introducing other actors including Anubhav Mohanty, Sabyasachi Mishra and Babushaan. He died of cancer on 13 January 2015.

Suna Chadhei Mo Rupa Chadhei is a 2009 Indian Odia comedy film directed by Himanshu Parija. After Nei Ja Re Megha Mate, Anubhav Mohanty & Barsha Priyadarshini paired for second time in this film. This film is a remake of the Hindu film Maine Pyar Kiya directed by Sooraj Barjatya.

Bandē Utkaḷa Jananī is an Odia patriotic poem written by Laxmikanta Mohapatra in 1912. Odisha became the first state in British India to be formed on linguistic basis on 1 April 1936. The music was first recorded by Gokul Mohanty in 1932. The modern notation was arranged by the Odissi musician Balakrushna Dash which was adopted as the state anthem. The Odisha Cabinet on 7 June 2020, accorded the poem the status as the Anthem of Odisha.

Manmohan Mahapatra was an Odia filmmaker, director, producer, and writer. He won eight consecutive national film awards for his films Nishita Swapna, Majhi Pahacha, Klanta Aparanha, Neeraba Jhada, Seeta Raati, and Bhinna Samaya, among others.

In 2022, Babushan Mohanty portrayed Doctor Character in DAMaN movie was an Indian Odia-language adventure drama film Released in Odia as well as in the Hindi language and it was one of the highest grossing Odia movies.

He received several literary awards over his career, including the 1979 Odisha Sahitya Academy Award for Akasha Patala, and the 1983 Sarala Award and the 1984 Sahitya Akademi Award in Odia, for Abhisapta Gandharba. Sahoo died on 25 June 2016 after multiple organ failures.

The film marks the second collaboration between Pranab and Ajit Das after Sesha Pratikhya (1979). The story is based on Bibhuti Patnaik's novel of the same name and talks about industrialization and displacement in an Odisha village.
