Naogaon University is a public university in Naogaon District. It is the second general university in Rajshahi Division after University of Rajshahi. The university was established in 2023 by the name of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University, Naogaon act 2023 in National Parliament. [1] [2]

History

The university was founded in 2012. The University Act was passed in National Parliament in February 2023. [3]

After the fall of the Sheikh Hasina led Awami League government, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University was renamed to Naogaon University in February 2025. [4]
