Seyid Ali Imadaddin Nasimi, commonly known as simply Nasimi, was a 14th- and 15th-century Hurufi poet who composed poetry in his native Azerbaijani, as well as Persian and Arabic languages. He is regarded as one of the greatest Turkic poets of his time and one of the most prominent figures in Azerbaijani literature. Some sources also mention that he was born in Baghdad in 1339.
Sumgait is a city in Azerbaijan, located near the Caspian Sea, on the Absheron Peninsula, about 31 kilometres away from the capital Baku. The city had a population of 422,600 at the 2019 Census, making it the second largest city in Azerbaijan after Baku.

Sabail raion is one of the 12 raions of the capital city of Baku, located on the Caspian shore. It is the oldest district in the city. It contains the Old City of Baku and the Baku Boulevard, as well as the settlements Badamdar and Bibiheybət, the administrative territorial divisions no. 1 and no. 2, the municipalities of Badamdar, Bibiheybət and Sabail, and is bordered by the raions of Nasimi, Yasamal and Garadagh. Current head of the raion's executive power is Eldar Azizov. The governing body includes the juridical, socio-economic and other departments.

The Taraggi Medal – is the state award of Azerbaijan Republic. The award was created by Heydar Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on December 6, 1993 by the Decree No. 758. Recipients of the award include Leyla Aliyeva, the daughter of Azerbaijan's ruler Ilham Aliyev and granddaughter of former ruler Heydar Aliyev.
Abbas Alasgarov Abbas oglu was an Azerbaijani engineer and politician who served as the Chairman of the State Committee for City Building and Architecture of Azerbaijan from 2007. Construction engineer by profession, Asgarov is the chairman of the Union of Azerbaijani Architects and one of the authors of the main plan of Baku.
Peace Dove is an allegorical sculpture located in Nasimi Culture and Recreational Park, Sumgait, Azerbaijan. Erected in 1978, it symbolizes peace and unity and is considered the city's emblem.
The Heydar Aliyev Foundation is a private foundation headed by Azerbaijan's First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva. The Monument to Nizami Ganjavi, a medieval Persian poet, is located in Chișinău, the capital of Moldova, in a park named after Nizami Ganjavi. Akif Asgarov, Honoured Art Worker of Azerbaijan was a sculptor and Semen Shoyket, Honoured Architect of Moldova was the architect of the monument.
Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park was established by Decree #548 dated December 21, 2011 of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and was registered on May 11, 2012.
The Heydar Aliyev Park Complex is the largest urban park in Ganja, Azerbaijan located on an area of 450 hectares. It includes within its boundaries fountains and decorated garden plots, an amphitheater, “Triumphal arch”, Youth Center, Heydar Aliyev Center, Museum of Modern Art, a waterfall and an artificial lake in addition to thousands of trees. The Park Complex was opened in 2014.
