Natalia Fuchs (born November 6, 1981) is an art critic, new media researcher, international curator and cultural producer.
Natalia Fuchs was born on November 6, 1981, in Russia. She studied in Moscow School for the Social and Economic Sciences, obtained MA in Cultural Management in University of Manchester, UK and another MA in History of Media Arts in Danube University Krems, Austria. Before 2009 she worked in the field marketing and communications for Daimler Chrysler Russia, Ogilvy, Young & Rubicam and Aegis Media. In 2009—2011 she worked on Moscow International Film Festival Media Forum dedicated to media art and experimental filmmaking as Business Development and Public Relations Director at MediaArtLab . In 2010 she moved to Vienna and worked on VIENNAFAIR contemporary art fair and sound:frame audiovisual festival. Around that time she founded an art relations practice ARTYPICAL. Upon her return to Russia in 2013 Fuchs became a Curator in Polytechnic Museum in Moscow. She curated Polytech.Science.Art interdisciplinary program, Electronic Living Room experimental multifunctional space and museum's international science art exhibitions. Polytech.Science.Art was awarded a diploma from Ministry of Culture as "Best Educational Project in Museum" in 2015. [2] [3] In 2016 Fuchs joined Sila Sveta interactive media studio as International Communications Director. [4] [5] She was also appointed as Deputy Director, Curator and Multimedia Programs Manager in National Centre for Contemporary Arts in Moscow. In late 2017 she launched NCCA's TECHNE platform for innovative art. [6] In 2018 together with Maurice Jones she co-founded United Curators collective. In 2019 Fuchs curated the Input symposium on digital art at Lunchmeat Festival in Prague and co-curated the "Persisting Realities" exhibition and "The Work of Art in the Age of Artificial Intelligence" workshop at CTM Festival in Berlin. [7] Fuchs is co-producer of Gamma festival of music, art and urban culture. [8]
Fuchs' professional interests include contemporary culture, media art, cinema and sound. [3] She was teaching Media Art History at Moscow State University since 2017 and Art & Science at ITMO University since 2018. [7] In 2017 Fuchs also curated an Art & Science educational program for teenagers in NCCA. [9] In 2018 Fuchs was giving lectures in Avant-Garde LAB curator school launched by Denis Semyonov in Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center. [10] Fuchs ran workshops, gave public talks and lectures in Tokyo University of the Arts, [7] Miraikan — The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, [11] at The New Media Lab at the New Stage of Alexandrinsky Theatre, [12] SMENA Contemporary Culture Centre in Kazan. [13] She also curates Gamma LAB_AI, the laboratory on AI and music in frame of Gamma Festival of music and contemporary art and Gamma_pro annual art & technology forum she produces in Saint Petersburg, Russia [14] [7] Additionally Fuchs consults other institutions such as ZKM ("Open Codes" curated by Peter Weibel) and Barbican Centre ("AI: More That Human" curated by Majolo Uchida) as Art Advisor. Cook was a Research Fellow at the University of Sunderland, where she worked with the research institute CRUMB – Curatorial Resource for Upstart Media Bliss, that she co-founded with Beryl Graham in 2000, and taught on the MA Curating course. In 2013 she was appointed as a Reader and Dundee Research Fellow at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, University of Dundee. As part of her role as Dundee Fellow she founded and curated LifeSpace Science Art Research Gallery in the School of Life Sciences, University of Dundee (2014-2018). She is a trustee of folly in Lancaster.

Kathy Rae Huffman is an American curator, writer, producer, researcher, lecturer and expert for video and media art. She has curated, written about, and coordinated events for numerous international art institutes, consulted and juried for festivals and alternative arts organisations. Huffman not only introduced video and digital computer art to museum exhibitions, she also pioneered tirelessly to bring television channels and video artists together, in order to show video artworks on TV. From the early 1990s until 2014, Huffman was based in Europe, and embraced early net art and interactive online environments, a curatorial practice that continues. In 1997, she co-founded the Faces mailing list and online community for women working with art, gender and technology. Till today, Huffman is working in the US, in Canada and in Europe.
The Moscow International Biennale for Young Art (MIBYA) is a major contemporary visual art exhibition that focuses on the work of artists and curators under the age of 35. It aims to bring together new artistic initiatives from Russia and the world by supporting the creative development of young artists for interested audiences. MIBYA was first held in 2008 in response to rising interest from artists, curators and critics following the festival of young art, "Qui Vive?" sponsored by the National Center for Contemporary Arts (NCCA) and held annually from 2002 to 2006, in collaboration with free workshops at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA). "The project has acquired new status thanks to growing interest from young artists, curators, and critics. Through the combined efforts of the NCCA and MMOMA, the biennial for young art was developed." Participants are given the chance to establish connections and connect with the professional artistic community.
