Natalie Randolph is the Director of Equity, Justice & Community at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC and former high school football coach. She served as the head football coach at Calvin Coolidge High School in Washington, D.C. from 2010 to 2013.
As of the 2010, she was reported to be the only female head coach of a high school football team, and only the third ever to coach high school football, following Jessica Poseluzny at George Washington High School in Manhattan and Debbie Vance, at Herbert H. Lehman High School in The Bronx. [1] Randolph received a Women of Distinction Award from the American Association of University Women and NASPA at their June 2011 National Conference for College Women Student Leaders. Randolph was recognized for breaking through barriers for women in sports. [2]
Randolph was a hurdler at the University of Virginia.
Randolph played wide receiver for six seasons with the DC Divas of the Independent Women's Football League, from 2003 to 2008.
Randolph coached wide receivers at H.D. Woodson High School in Washington, D.C. from 2006 to 2007. [3]
Randolph was named the head football coach at Coolidge High School on March 12, 2010. She coached her first game on August 27, 2010, against Archbishop Carroll, losing 28–0. [4] The Coolidge football team rebounded to finish the year 4–7 and earn a DCIAA playoff berth. [5] In 2011, Randolph's Coolidge team finished 7–2 and again made the DCIAA playoffs. [6] They also reported an improvement in the teams overall grade-point average, from 2.75 to 3.0. On November 24, 2011, Coolidge lost the DCIAA Turkey Bowl to Dunbar High School.
Randolph resigned as Coolidge's coach in November 2013. [7]
Peter Clay Carroll is an American football coach who is the head coach and executive vice president for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He was previously the head football coach at USC from 2001 to 2009, where he won six bowl games and a National Championship in 2004.
Sidwell Friends School is a Quaker school located in Bethesda, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., offering pre-kindergarten through high school classes. Founded in 1883 by Thomas W. Sidwell, its motto is "Eluceat omnibus lux", alluding to the Quaker concept of inner light. Marvin Austin Jr. is a former American football nose tackle. He played college football at North Carolina and was drafted by the New York Giants in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Austin also played for the Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos.
Reggie Devon Barlow is a former American football player and coach who is currently the head coach for the DC Defenders of the XFL. Barlow served as the head football coach at Alabama State University from 2007 to 2014 and at Virginia State University from 2016 to 2021. He played professionally as wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons, five for the Jacksonville Jaguars, two for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and one with the Oakland Raiders. He was used as a secondary wide receiver and punt returner. In 1997, Barlow led the NFL in punt return yards with 555 yards on 43 returns.
The District of Columbia Interscholastic Athletic Association (DCIAA) is the public high school athletic league in Washington, D.C. The league was founded in 1958. The original high school conference for D.C. schools was the Inter-High School Athletic Association, formed around 1896. That organization was segregated, and black schools in the District formed their own athletic association. The Inter-High League was renamed the DCIAA in 1989 to bring the District of Columbia in line with other states with interscholastic athletic programs. The DCIAA offers sports on the elementary, middle and high school levels.
Archbishop Carroll High School is a Catholic college-preparatory high school with an emphasis on social justice and civic engagement, located in the Brookland neighborhood of Northeast Washington, D.C. It is owned and operated by the Archdiocese of Washington, is part of the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference, and is affiliated with the Catholic University of America.
Albert Michael Groh III is an American football coach and former quarterback who is the wide receivers coach for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the wide receivers coach of the Indianapolis Colts and as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Rams, Chicago Bears and New York Jets. He is a former starting quarterback at the University of Virginia.

Christopher Beatty is an American football assistant coach. Beatty is currently the wide receivers coach for the Los Angeles Chargers football team. Beatty was formerly a professional football player in the Canadian Football League and a former school-record holder at East Tennessee State University as a wide receiver.
The D.C. Divas are a women's gridiron football team that plays in the Women's Football Alliance. Based in the Washington metropolitan area, the Divas play their home games at The St. James fieldhouse in Springfield, Virginia. Formerly, the Divas played at Eastern High School in Washington, D.C.; Largo High School in Largo, Maryland; the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex in Landover, and at John R. Lewis High School in Springfield.
Rob Ambrose is an American college football coach. From 2009 to 2022, he was head coach of the Towson Tigers football team of Towson University. Ambrose was formerly the offensive coordinator of the UConn Huskies before being announced as Towson's head coach in December 2008. Ambrose played wide receiver for Towson in the early 1990s. Ambrose was selected as the Top FCS Coach for the 2011 season. In 2013, Towson advanced to the FCS National Championship Game for the first time in school history. Ambrose played his high school ball at Maryland's Middletown High School.

The Randolph–Macon Yellow Jackets are the athletic teams that represent Randolph–Macon College, located in Ashland, Virginia, in NCAA Division III intercollegiate sports. The Yellow Jackets compete as members of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. Altogether, Randolph–Macon sponsors 18 sports, with 9 teams for each gender. The school's newest sport of men's volleyball, introduced for the 2019 season, is the only team that does not compete in the ODAC, instead competing in the Continental Volleyball Conference.

Gary Lamar Harrell, affectionately known as "The Flea," is an American college football coach and former professional gridiron football player. He is currently the assistant head coach and running backs coach at the University of Colorado Boulder. Harrell was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL), World League of American Football (WLAF) and Canadian Football League (CFL) for three seasons during the 1990s. Harrell served two stints as the head football coach at Howard University in Washington, D.C. from 2011 to 2012 and 2014 to 2016, with a leave of absence in 2013. He joined the coaching staff at Alabama State University in January 2019, after a two-year stint under Lane Kiffin at Florida Atlantic University.
Howard Dilworth Woodson High School is a secondary school in Washington, D.C. that serves grades 9 through 12. It is located in the Northeast Boundary neighborhood, at the intersection of 55th and Eads Streets NE. It is a part of the District of Columbia Public Schools and primarily serves students in Ward 7. Robert "Bob" Headen is a third generation Washingtonian and former Denver Broncos running back in the American Football League. He retired from the District of Columbia Public School System after 40 years of services as athletics director, dean of students, teacher and coach in 2004. Coach Headen is considered a pioneer in developing girls' basketball in D.C., as well as the architect of Washington's most dominant program. He took over as Howard D. Woodson High School's girls basketball coach two years after the passage of Title IX—legislation that barred gender discrimination at schools that receive federal funds.
Aazaar Abdul-Rahim is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach at Boston College. He served as the head football coach at Friendship Collegiate Academy Public Charter School in his native Washington, D.C. from 2003 to 2013.
