Nathan Filipo Ilaoa (born April 4, 1983) is a former American football running back. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the seventh round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at Hawaii.

Early years

Ilaoa played high school football at North Stafford High School in Stafford, Virginia as both a wide receiver and running back. In his junior season, he set the Virginia AAA record for receiving yards in a season (1,299 in 12 games). [1] Ilaoa was the 2000 Washington Post Offensive Player of the Year and two-time All-Met.

College career

Ilaoa began his collegiate career on the Hawaii Warriors football team in 2001. Ilaoa started 8 games in the 2002 season as a wide receiver. In 2005, Ilaoa moved to the running back position and rushed for a team-high 643 yards. He was granted a rare sixth year of eligibility because of injuries in 2006 and amassed 1,827 all-purpose yards. [2] Ilaoa's 20 career rushing touchdowns are sixth in Hawaii history.

Professional career

Philadelphia Eagles

Ilaoa was drafted 236th overall in the 2007 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. On July 22, 2007, Ilaoa agreed to a four-year contract with the Eagles. [3] He was cut by the Eagles on September 1, 2007.

Columbus Destroyers

In 2008, Ilaoa played with the Columbus Destroyers of the Arena Football League. [4] However, he was eventually sidelined by a shoulder injury. At the end of that season, the Arena Football League ceased operations. [5]

The 2006 Hawaii Warriors football team represented the University of Hawaii at Manoa in the 2006 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Warriors tied the school record for most victories in a season with 11, with their only losses coming against Alabama in Tuscaloosa, an undefeated Boise State team that went on to participate in the Bowl Championship Series and Oregon State, which won ten games and finished the season nationally ranked. The Warriors finished in second place in the Western Athletic Conference behind Boise State and returned to the Hawaii Bowl after missing out on postseason play in 2005 due to a losing record. The Warriors defeated the Arizona State Sun Devils in the bowl game by a score of 41–24 to round out one of the school's most successful football seasons ever.

Antonio Christopher Hunt is a former American football running back. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played two NFL seasons and one season in Europe Austrian Football League. Hunt played college football at Penn State.

Calvin Turner Jr. is an American football running back and wide receiver for the San Antonio Brahmas of the XFL. He previously played at Jacksonville University until the program shut down in 2019 and University of Hawaii from 2020 to 2021. Turner has been praised for his versatility, having taken snaps at defensive back, quarterback, running back, and wide receiver during his college career.
