Nathalie Nordnes (born 22 November 1984, in Bergen) is a Norwegian singer. She released her first album on Virgin Records in 2003, and her fourth album in November 2011. Most of her recorded output is sung in English.

Her debut album Hush Hush with guitarist Mads Berven was released in 2003, [1] which included a duet ("Good Times") with Sondre Lerche, whom she had dated. A video was produced for "Only Because." The album spent 19 weeks on the Norwegian charts, rising to number 8, and achieved gold status. [2]

Hush Hush was followed by Join Me In The Park in 2005, which included the single "Cars and Boys". [3] [4] [5] It spent two weeks on the Norwegian charts, reaching number 16. [6]

These first two albums were produced by Hans Petter Gundersen and Kato Ådland. Gunderson first started working with Nordnes when she was 14, and introduced her to Eirik Johansen at EMI, the parent owner of Virgin Records, which led to her record contract. [7]

Nordnes subsequently parted ways with her record label and released Letters in 2009 on her own label, Oliver Records. [8] [9] The album was recorded in Italy and produced by Rob Ellis. [10] [11] [12]

Nordnes' fourth album N.N. was released in November 2011. Prior to the album release, the single America was released, [13] with a video filmed in Bergen and New York City that debuted in early October 2011. [14]

Hjernen er alene(English: The Brain is Alone) is the third studio album by Norwegian rock band deLillos. The LP version had a bonus track, not found on the CD release, called "Utkaster" (bouncer).

Lene Alexandra Øien is a Norwegian singer, television personality and model.

Anne Pedersdotter was an alleged Norwegian witch. Her case was one of the most documented of the many witch trials in Norway in the 16th and 17th centuries. Together with Lisbeth Nypan, she was perhaps the most famous victim of the accusation in Norway.

Jan Erik Vold

Jan Erik Vold is a Norwegian lyric poet, jazz vocal reciter, translator and author. He was a core member of the so-called "Profil generation", the circle attached to the literary magazine Profil. Throughout his career as an artist, he has had the ability to reach the public, both with his poetry and his political views. He has contributed greatly to the renewal of Norwegian poetry, and created interest in lyrical poetry. Jan Erik Vold is currently living in Stockholm.

Erik Andersen, also referred to in the media as The Pocket Man, is a convicted Norwegian child molester from Bergen. He was arrested in 2008, accused of molesting hundreds of children since 1976, and in 2010, he was convicted and sentenced to preventive detention with a minimum term of 9 years, with the possibility of extension for as long as he is deemed a danger to society. He was released in November 2014.

Matias Tellez

Matias Tellez is a Norwegian singer songwriter, composer and record producer. Matias is one of the many young artists that the press have called the Bergen Wave. His music contains elements of pop, rock and tropicalia. He released solo music until starting the band Young Dreams, in which he is the principal songwriter and producer.

MGP Junior is the Danish national final that selected the entry to represent Denmark in Melodi Grand Prix Nordic, a defunct song contest for Scandinavian children aged 8 to 15.

Joshua French Norwegian-born security contractor and former soldier

Joshua Olav Daniel Hodne French is a Norwegian-British man who was convicted of murder in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He worked as a security contractor with his friend Tjostolv Moland when they were arrested in May 2009, and he was later convicted of attempted murder, armed robbery, the formation of a criminal association and espionage for Norway, of which he and Moland were found guilty and sentenced to death. In 2014 he was also convicted of the murder of Moland. He was released in 2017 after serving 8 years of his sentence, and returned to Norway.

Herodes Falsk

Kim Bård Hansen, better known by his stage name Herodes Falsk, is a Norwegian comedian, actor, author, and songwriter. Falsk is probably best known for his work with the musical comedy trio Prima Vera alongside Jahn Teigen and Tom Mathisen, and for his longtime collaboration with Mathisen after Prima Vera's breakup in 1984. He is also often credited as Norway's first stand-up comedian.

Anne Grete Preus

Anne Grete Preus was a Norwegian rock singer in Norway in the 1980s and 1990s, first as member of the bands Veslefrikk and Can Can and later as a solo act. She released nine solo albums and won the Spellemannprisen multiple times. In 2008 she appeared as a narrator in an Arts Alliance production, id - Identity of the Soul. She contracted liver cancer in 2007. In early 2019 she had to cancel the planned concerts for the summer due to illness.

Mads Falck Berven is a Norwegian jazz musician (guitar) and law graduate from University of Bergen, known from a series of albums and cooperations with the like of Øystein Moen, Eirik Hegdal, Magne Thormodsæter, Ole Marius Sandberg, Kåre Opheim, Gard Nilssen, Per Jørgensen, Olav Dale and Helén Eriksen.

Kåre Opheim

Kåre Opheim is a Norwegian musician (drums), known from a series of albums and bands like Real Ones. Opheim is an important partner in the "UNGjaJazzja" at Vossajazz. He is part of the Mads Berven Trio with a record release Mountains & the Sea in 2011, and played within Mike Gallaher Trio at Vossajazz 2009.

Frank Jakobsen

Frank Jakobsen is a Norwegian jazz musician (drums), known from a number of recordings, and central to the jazz scenes in Bergen and Oslo.

Farsund Hospital was a local hospital situated close to the town centre of Farsund in Norway. It closed in 2007 and the municipality bought the property in December 2008. It has been disused since.

Ole Marius Sandberg

Ole Marius Sandberg is a Norwegian jazz bassist who has collaborated with Erlend Skomsvoll, Odd Børretzen, Jan Eggum, Herborg Kråkevik, Christina Bjordal, and Nathalie Nordnes.

Rolf Enger is a Norwegian writer who has lived in Bergen since 1991.
