The National Child Award is the most notable among the activities of Bangladesh Shishu Academy. This contest has been held since 1978. Competition was held in two groups of 62 topics in literature, culture and sports. In the upazila level, the first place in the district has participated in the national level after crossing the district level and the zonal level. In this competition, about 3 lakh children participate in the opportunity to develop their talents every year. The goal of this competition is to explore the latent talents and talents of children from the grassroots level. [1] [2]

Rabeya Khatun was a Bangladeshi novelist. She wrote over 50 novels and more than 400 short stories. Her works also include essays, research, religious history and travelogues. She was awarded Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1973, Ekushey Padak in 1993 and Independence Day Award in 2017 by the Government of Bangladesh.

Selina Hossain is a Bangladeshi novelist and the current president of Bangla Academy since February 2022. Her major works include Hangor Nodi Grenade (1976) and Poka Makorer Ghor Boshoti (1996). She earned all major national awards – Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1980, Ekushey Padak in 2009 and Independence Day Award in 2018. Her novels and short stories have been translated into English, Russian, French, Japanese, Korean, Finnish and Malay. She served as the chairperson of Bangladesh Shishu Academy from 2014 until 2018.

Ekhlasuddin Ahmed was a Bangladeshi children's writer. He was awarded the Ekushey Padak, one of the highest civilian awards in Bangladesh, in 2000.

The Bangladesh Police is the national law enforcement agency of Bangladesh, operating under the Ministry of Home Affairs. It plays a crucial role in maintaining peace, and enforcement of law and order within Bangladesh. Though the police are primarily concerned with the maintenance of law and order and security of persons and property of individuals, they also play a big role in the criminal justice system. Bangladesh police played an important role during the Bangladesh Liberation War.

The existing Bangladeshi honours system was created after Independence of Bangladesh. The highest civilian honours are the Independence Award and Ekushey Padak. They are awarded every year. The awards are civilian awards for a broad set of achievements in fields such as Education, Arts, Civil Service, or Social Service and Liberation War. Awards were also bestowed posthumously and they are not given for foreign citizens.

Badal Rahman was a Freedom Fighter of Bangladesh Liberation War 1971, Bangladeshi film director, Film Society Activist, Writer & Cultural Personality. In 1980 he became the first director to create a full-length feature film for children in Bangladesh, Emiler Goenda Bahini. The film was an adoption of Erich Kästner's novel Emil und die Detektive published in 1929.

Amjad Hossain was a Bangladeshi film director, actor, scriptwriter and lyricist. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Director twice, for the films Golapi Ekhon Traine (1978) and Bhat De (1984). He also won Bangla Academy Literary Award in 2004 and Ekushey Padak in 1992.

Sania Sultana Liza is a Bangladeshi singer. Her songs has been featured in different albums and films. She was the winner of the musical reality show Close Up-1 at NTV in 2008. She served as the chief judge in the reality show, RTV's Young Star Season 2, 2023 themed Gola Chhere Gao.

Khaleda Adib Chowdhury was a Bangladeshi writer. She was the recipient of 1993 Bangla Academy Literary Award.

Shah Alamgir was a Bangladeshi journalist. He served as the Director General of Press Institute of Bangladesh. He joined the post on 7 July 2013. Before joining PIB, he worked as a journalist.

Agrani Bank Shishu Academy Children's Literature Award is a prize for writers working on children's literature, which is provided by the Bangladesh Shishu Academy. In 1981, Agrani Bank and Children's Literature Award was instituted. It was named 'Agrani Bank-Shishu Sahitya Puraskar' since 2007.

Halima Khatun was a Bangladeshi activist, writer and academic. She took part in Bengali Language Movement in 1952 along with other activists including Rawshan Ara Bachchu. She was the recipient of Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1981 and Ekushey Padak posthumously in 2019.

Dhruba Esh is a Bangladeshi cover artist and writer. He has designed a number of the most notable covers including Humayun Ahmed's Himu and Misir Ali series. He won 2022 Bangla Academy Literary Award for his contribution to children's literature.

Subrata Barua is a Bangladeshi writer. He was awarded Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1983. In recognition of his contribution to Bengali language and literature, the government of Bangladesh awarded him the country's second highest civilian award Ekushey Padak in 2018. He served as the director of the Bangla Academy.

Zinia Zafrin Luipa is a Bangladeshi singer.

Anjir Liton is a Bangladeshi poet and children's writer. He is the Director General of Bangladesh Children's Academy. He won Bangla Academy Literary Award for His Children's Writing in 2020 for his contribution to children's literature. He is the editor in chief of Chorabarshiki, The largest collection of Rhymes of Bengali literature.
