The Bangabandhu National Agriculture Award is a Bangladeshi award given to recognise a substantial contribution in the field of research in agricultural development. [1] [2] The medal is categorised into gold, silver and bronze medals. [3]
This award was started in 1973 under the Ministry of Agriculture of Bangladesh. [3] The award was stopped in 1975 and restarted in 2009. [3]

Socialism is one of the fundamental principles of the Constitution of Bangladesh, along with nationalism, democracy and Secularism. The constitution names Bangladesh as a people's republic, and declares all powers to be vested to the people.
