It begins in Keelung at the intersection of Xiao 2nd Road and Zhong 4th Road and ends in Kaohsiung at the intersection of Zhongshan 4th Road and Yugang Road, giving it a total length of 374.3 km (232.6 mi).

<span class="mw-page-title-main">National Freeway 2</span> Road in Taiwan

National Freeway 2 is a connector freeway in Taiwan that traverses the special municipalities of Taoyuan City and New Taipei City. The freeway begins at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport in Dayuan District, Taoyuan City, traveling in a Northwest-Southeast direction along northern Taoyuan City and ends in Yingge at the junction with National Freeway 3. It is 20.4 km (12.7 mi) long.

National Freeway 3, also known as Formosa Freeway, is a freeway in Taiwan. It is the second north–south freeway in Taiwan, beginning in Keelung City at Jijin Interchange on the provincial highway 2 and ending in Linbian, Pingtung on the provincial highway 17. It is the longest freeway in Taiwan with a total length of 431.5 km (268.1 mi). The freeway is also the only one in Taiwan to have a spur route, Freeway 3A.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">National Freeway 6</span> Road in Taiwan

National freeway 6, also known as Shuishalian Freeway or Central East-West Freeway, is a freeway between Wufeng, Taichung and Puli, Nantou, and all of the main line was already open to traffic on 21 March 2009. The freeway runs parallel with provincial highway 14 for most of its length.

National freeway 8 is a freeway, which begins in Annan District of Tainan City and ends in Sinhua District, Tainan on the provincial highway 20. The first 4.2 kilometres of the freeway is expressway-standard road with partial controlled access, while the rest is controlled-access highway.

Provincial Highway 74, also known as the Kuaiguan-Wufeng Expressway (快官烏日線) or Taichung Ring Expressway (台中環線), is an expressway around Taichung City. It starts at Kuaiguan Interchange on Freeway No. 3 in Changhua City and ends at Wufeng Interchange on Freeway No. 3 in Wufeng District.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Provincial Highway 61 (Taiwan)</span> Road in Taiwan

Provincial Highway No. 61 is usually known as West Coast Expressway (西部濱海快速公路). The highway runs along the west coast of Taiwan. Several sections of the highway are freeway standards with no at-grade intersections, while the rest are local highway standards. There are several sections open for the traffic. Others are still under construction.

The Taichung MRT is a rapid transit system in Taichung, Taiwan. In addition to Taichung, it may serve Changhua and Nantou counties in the future. Taichung Metro's first route, the Green Line, officially began operation on April 25, 2021, making it the 5th rapid transit system operating in Taiwan.

Provincial Highway 1 is a 461.081 km (286.502 mi)-long Taiwanese provincial highway that starts in the north of the country near Taipei Main Station and ends in the south at Fangshan, Pingtung County. It intersects with Provincial Highway 9 and Provincial Highway 26. Before the freeway system was built in Taiwan, this was the primary north-south highway for the island. The highway connects most of the major cities in Taiwan. In most parts of Taiwan, the road is known as The North-South Highway (縱貫公路).

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Wuri District</span> District

Wuri District is a suburban district in southern Taichung, Taiwan. Both of the two north–south freeways pass through Wuri. Wuri is also home to a large military training centre, Chengkungling, as well as Taichung HSR station.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Provincial Highway 3 (Taiwan)</span> Road in Taiwan

Provincial Highway 3 is a 435.608km long Taiwanese highway that starts in Taipei and ends in Pingtung. Also known as Inner-Mountain Highway (內山公路), the road travels through mountainous towns in Western Taiwan and was the major route for the area until Freeway 3 was built.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Xitun District</span> District

Xitun District or Situn District is the second-most populated district of Taichung, Taiwan. It is located on the western side of the city. Once considered part of the countryside, the district has seen rapid growth in recent years with department store and office towers in the redevelopment zone. Taichung City Hall is located in the district.

Provincial Highway 12, named as Taiwan Boulevard (台灣大道) for its entire length, is a 23.2 km east–west highway that connects Port of Taichung in Wuqi with downtown Taichung City.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Provincial Highway 17 (Taiwan)</span> Road in Taiwan

Provincial Highway 17 (PH 17), Chinese: 台17線) is a north–south highway from Qingshui in Taichung City to Fangliao in Pingtung County. The highway is known as Western Coastal Highway (西部濱海公路) since it runs parallel to the western coasts of Taiwan. Since the completion of PH 61 expressway, which parallels PH 17, the latter now mostly handles local traffic. The total length of the highway is 273.474 kilometres (169.929 mi).
