Naya Patrika National Daily (Nepali : नयाँ पत्रिका) is a daily newspaper published in Nepal, founded in 2007. [1] It is Nepali language broadsheet newspaper with a daily print run of 270,000 copies. It is the first daily Nepalese print media to publish 7 different province-wise editions.[ citation needed ] The newspapers are printed and distributed from Kohalpur, Butwal, Kathmandu and Biratnagar.[ citation needed ]

Motiram Bhatta was a Nepalese poet, singer, essayist, publisher, literary critic and biographer. He is considered the first biographer and literary critic of Nepali literature and is credited for starting the first private printing press in Nepal in c. 1888. He also introduced the Ghazal style of poetry and singing in Nepal. Bhatta was a polyglot and alongside Nepali, he had studied in Sanskrit, Persian, English and was also proficient in Bengali, Urdu and Nepal Bhasa.

Online Khabar is an independent private online news portal of Nepal established in 2006, providing news in Nepali and English languages. There is no print available from this media house. In 2014, it was one of the top 10 web news portal in Nepal. By 2020, it became the most viewed news portal from Nepal. The rise in online viewing of online newspapers including Online Khabar has been partially attributed to the Gorkha earthquake of 2015 during which the print media had stopped.
