Ongole is a city in Prakasam district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the headquarters of Prakasam district and also the mandal headquarters of Ongole mandal in Ongole revenue division. Ongole cattle, an indigenous breed of oxen, derived their name from Ongole.

Three List A matches have also been held on the ground, with the first coming in the 1995/96 Ranji Trophy one-day competition when Himachal Pradesh played Jammu and Kashmir. The others followed when Himachal Pradesh played Haryana in the 1996/97 competition and when Himachal Pradesh played Jammu and Kashmir in the 1999/00 competition. No further major matches have been staged there.

Till date the ground has hosted two more first-class matches in 2015 season. The ground hosted few under-19s state matches.
Rural Development Trust Stadium is a cricket ground in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, India. The stadium comes with all necessary modern facilities, having been built and maintained by the Rural Development Trust. It was used as the home ground for Andhra cricket team. The first recorded match on this ground was played between Andhra and Railways, on 22 December 2004 in the 2004–05 Ranji Trophy. It hosted Ranji Trophy matches between 2004 and 2018. It had also hosted Women's List A matches in the Women's Senior One Day Trophy in 2007 and 2008. Annual school competitions are also held at this ground.
