Controversy

2021 Udaipur branch incident

In October 2021, a teacher at the Udaipur branch, Nafisa Atari, was dismissed from service after she allegedly celebrated Pakistan’s victory over India in a T20 World Cup cricket match on social media. [3] According to reports, she had posted a WhatsApp status stating “Jeet gaye, we won.” When a parent questioned whether she supported Pakistan, she replied “Yes.” [4]

The post went viral, drawing criticism on social media and prompting protests from student and parent groups. Members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) visited the school and demanded action against her, hoisting the national flag on campus in protest. [5]

The school management, run by the Sojatia Charitable Trust, terminated the teacher’s employment the following day, citing violation of institutional values. [6] Atari later clarified that her post was taken “out of context,” explaining that her family had divided into teams supporting both India and Pakistan as part of a friendly competition during the match. [7]

2025 Jaipur branch incident

In November 2025, following the death of a Class 6 student at Jaipur branch, an investigation team from the Rajasthan education department was reportedly prevented from entering the school premises. [8] [9] According to a report published by Dainik Bhaskar, the team had been sent on the direction of the state Education Minister, Madan Dilawar, to examine the circumstances of the incident and assess safety measures at the institution. The school’s principal allegedly refused to cooperate with the officials during the inquiry. [10]

The Education Department stated that its team was dispatched to collect evidence and review CCTV footage related to the student’s death. Media reports also alleged that the site where the student fell had been cleaned before the arrival of the police, raising questions about the preservation of forensic evidence. [11] [12]
